Worst bank ever. They lie and make things unnecessarily difficult for clients.
It's hard to believe that in a day and age of technology where things happen instantly, and when customers have so many other banking options, a bank would choose to hold funds from a guaranteed direct deposit until the end of the day on the designated release day, rather than the earlier in the day. I called the bank and was told it will take that long to process. Maybe they need to start using whatever Venmo uses in order to process deposits immediately. So far I have had no problems with UCCU. I didn't really like having to pay $10 to open an account, which was NOT told to me over the phone, but that was minor to me. Keep up the customer satisfaction UCCU, because I have been burned by other institutions and am still only a three month old customer since early January. Thx
Three stars is the most boring to give on a review - but it is what UCCU deserves. Pros - Throughout their locations, their loan officers and managers are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. You can get approved for loans at UCCU that most financial institutions will not give you- especially if you have been with UCCU for a while and have kept your account well. Bank ANYWHERE but UCCU!! They sent us to collections on their error. We had an awful time trying to get them to fix it. Everyone we talked to was rude. No one ever apologized. This error effected our credit and no one could even say sorry. They took forever to return calls and I spent over 6 hours on the phone trying to solve something that wasn’t my fault. Honestly I’d take a higher interest rate on a loan at a better bank than deal with UCCU.
I used to bank with all the big banks like Chase, Wells Fargo and etc. However, after having such horrible experience with them went to UCCU and have not gotten back. Big banks are terrible in my personal experience. Horrible loan rates and horrible customer service. They treat like a number instead of a person. Since with UCCU never had a problem and its been nearly 5+ years now I like the in-house local credit unions they always know who I am when walking in and always make sure I'm taken care of. I have been trying to figure out how I even have an account here. No one will answer my e-mails or my calls.
Watch out for their auctions. I followed a listed auto for some time and upon the start of the auction was informed the start price had magically gone up 10k. Not a good process.
