I had to take a personal loan out of desperation to pay funeral costs for my father who passed away suddenly in the middle of the night. I followed all the instructions of their agents to have the money transferred to my bank. On a three-way call, their supervisor ****** verified the routing number and the instructions. Terrible option for HELOC. The product was not bad, but the customer service and internal processes were terrible. Their system is clunky and provides inaccurate information for you as a customer and for the representative. They told me I was current, but the app showed a current or no balance, and one day, I got a message that they reported me to Experian as 30 days past due. Liars!!! Promised to waive a fee. They never did and they also send it notices 2 weeks after it's due. They don't send emails. They don't notify you of payments not going through. I couldn't get on to their app. I explained the whole situation and he blamed it on me and his employees. Poor business etiquette. They lost money on a $45,000 car loan over a$32 fee. They didn't care.
I had a new bank card overnighted to me and the bank charged me $15 on 08/31/2023 (Thursday). I called this morning, 09/05/2023 (Tuesday, five days later) informing them that I did not get the overnighted promised card. After being on hold for over 20 minutes while the representative spoke twice with the supervisor, she confirmed the card would be in the mail tomorrow (09/06/2023); however, she could not confirm if they were going to credit my checking account $15 for the overnight bank charge.
They will steal from you. Do not go to this. I wish I could give them a fat 0. Lying money hungry and completely untrustworthy.
I have banked with UCCU for more than 40 years, and had been happy. In recent years, their branch computer system has become so cumbersome that the simplest of transactions takes unreasonable amounts of time in person. In addition, when I have opened up a CD on 2 occasions it has taken more than an hour with the branch customer service rep. Things are so much simpler and quicker at my other credit union.
This credit union is not business friendly. If your thinking of using them as your financial institution pick another Credit Union or Bank.
Do not bank with them! They will steal your money! They took money out of my checking account to pay my brothers debt. My brother isnt even connected to my account!!!! I called and they wont return my money.
I banked with these j**** for 20 years. A stray charge of $17 got through my checking to my overdraft line of credit without notice. It was 30 days late and they destroyed my credit and refused to help me. They told me they were doing me a favor by not charging me the late fees they assessed while I lose 50 points off my credit score for less than $20.
