We heard so many great things about UCCU before we obtained a loan through them. Sadly, we’ve been extremely frustrated by their service! We had issues with our payments going through online and have been charged late fees several times for technical issues that were either on UCCU’s end or were not communicated to us by UCCU until our payment was overdue. We use autopay for every other bill or expense in our budget and we’ve only ever had issues with UCCU. Now we’re worried their mismanagement will affect our credit score. ... read more

I have been with UCCU for over 6 years. Multiple Car loans, credit cards over draft accounts, no late payments. Interest rates for loans no exactly the lowest as advertised. Find another “community”style banker.

Their underwriting department is ridiculous. We were trying to get a home loan through UCCU, and, even though my credit and income are extremely good for my age, the underwriter would not accept that we'd had a bad month due to health insurance issues on top of a couple bad paychecks (I'm a trucker and not my truck and trailer were out of commision for a week), and they apparently couldn't figure out that my income has doubled over the last two years due to getting a new job, so we wouldn't have any problem making payments. ... read more
