Terrible Terrible Company. They do things to prevent you from filling expensive prescriptions or what they consider expensive. They have a terrible prior authorization process that is basically a method of preventing a prescription from being filled. They refuse to cooperate with our doctor. They change prescription durations and remove renewals to prevent you from filling them without talking to the doctor or getting yet another prior authorization. I have been taking Synxxxxxx for 2 years for autoimmune hypothyroid of which time I have had United Health Care as my health care insurance provider...My doctor recommended the brand rather than the generic and it has worked well. This month I find out UHC removed the drug from their formulary. The specialty pharmacy service that comes with this insurance provided by Briova Specialty pharmacy is a joke. They are 100% business to make money and could care less about anyones actual health. During the course of having this plan I have an issue everytime I go to refill my sons medication. They state it is covered under medical benefits, but then another department states it is covered under pharmacy benefits. Would be zero stars. Had son evaluated for learning disability in February. We are still waiting for reimbursement on a bill of nearly 5500.00. The claim keeps being rejected for "incorrect procedure claim codes", even though I checked first before scheduling the testing to confirm that the services were covered. We pay over 30,000.00 per year now for our healthcare, which is proving to be a nightmare. OXHP never sent us an EOB when the first claim was rejected. Went to Medexpress Urgent care by the request of my doctor to get a COVID test done as I was experiencing symptoms. My copay is normally 10 dollars & my father, who is on the same insurance plan as me, had gone previously to this location. As I was sick, I filled out the forms (as they wouldn’t allow people inside) to the best of my ability. The worst insurance company. I called to verify coverage of a medical items. Was told it would be covered and than they would not cover the expensive item that I could not return or afford without their full coverage.

I had to go to the doctor but my PCP was not available for 3+ months. The doctors office suggested I see another doctor from their practice. I said well I need to confirm with insurance it will be covered first. The doctors office stated it will be because “all doctors in the practice bill under the same TAX ID number essentially as if they are the same doctor”. This is the worst insurance company you can find on the market. I have only been with them about 3 weeks and I can't stand this insurance way too many problems. Customer service line it takes 40 minutes to reach a customer advocate every time you call. Trying to resolve a problem with this insurance company is impossible. When things get this badd this early it's time to just kill it and leave it lay on the ground and get away from it. MY PRESCRIPTION WAS CHEAPER USING A FREE DISCOUNT CARD THEN USING MY PRESCRIPTION COVERAGE. First my doctor prescribed Doxycycline and I was told the copay was $472 dollars. The copay amount mysteriously went up to $603 the next day. I called the UnitedHealthcare help line to find out why this common antibiotic was so extremely expensive - the response was "We don't set the price, the pharmacy does".
