I switched my mother to the the AARP Medicare plan with United Healthcare and their pharmacy OptimumRx. It was a huge mistake. I spent an hour going through all the online registration process and uploading her information only to have it fail to accept that info. So, I called. The person I spoke with put her information into the computer and gave me a confirmation number assuring me that her meds would arrive on time. They didin’t; Mom ran out. I called the next day. I’ve had nothing but problems since my health insurance through my husband’s Teamsters Union changed to include OptumRx for all maintenance medication. I’m on a med that is supposed to be on automatic ship, and yet they have screwed up in some way every single time. Every 90 days, I’m calling up to fix an error they made. Each time, I get apologies and promises that “notes are being made” in my file, and that it “won’t happen again.” Lies. This time, they didn’t send me my meds AT ALL. Why cant I give 0 stars? A company like this deserves it. They are a VERY dishonest company. Stay as far away as you can from them. Every negative review on here is accurate. My mind is blown by what they do and how they act. Very poor. You have been warned, stay away!

Awful. I was transferred to 8 people before I finally was speaking to the right person. My phone call totaled over one hour, all just to receive a prior auth for OP SUD treatment. It appears that no one of whom I spoke to understood or knew what I needed and kept transferring me to the wrong department. On top of that, they require re-authorizations for clients after 10 units, which clients will go through in 3 days. I have never been more frustrated and angry with any company I have ever dealt with! I have received absolutely no communication from them. Set up Auto payment. I never received a member card and had to call to get member number. Was told card would be sent out immediately. I still did not receive it. Company failed to deduct auto payment and canceled the policy. I called to have the policy reinstated and after 3 hours of being transferred and on hold was told they could find no reason to reinstate the policy. Asked for a re... read more

I have been trying to get my rx since July 1st after 20+days of people (from OptumRx ) telling me its been sent I should give it time 7-10 days I finally receive it. I only received 70 out of 90 of the pills and after speaking with several people who said they will be sent I get a call and they say they need to speak with my doctor. Doctor gives permission to send remaining 20 pills and now tonight they tell me they decided that I did drive 90 and that I won’t be getting them unless I want to pay for them again and insurance... read more

This place deserves no stars.. Briova Specialty Pharmacy. Every month it takes many calls to simply get my medication shipped. Every person is more incompetant than the next. I have complained to United Healthcare for using such a horrible company. I spend HOURS every month just to verify the same address I always ship to. Then they want me to speak to their doctor on staff and waste more time, when I just hang up. BEWARE!!!! UPDATE: Some insurance companies exist solely to deny medical care to people who can't afford it, and to profit off their suffering. United Healthcare is one of them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but now I'm forced to conclude they are dishonest. UHC refuses to pay for claims even though they are from in network doctors/facilities who accept UHC and are listed on UHC's site as accepted.
