The NJ Department of Environmental Protection, my employer, switched to Minimum RX (Optum Rx) in January 2018. I have two meds, both I have taken for more than 7 years, one is prescription toothpaste, and the other a proton pump inhibitor, Aciphex, which I must take twice a day.. They have denied BOTH meds, regardless of my fulfilling all of their requests for information, doctors' notes, etc., with absolutely NO explanation. Optum Rx and United Healthcare a duplicitous and immoral organization masquerading as healthcare. They have put all the wrong information for my mother; falsified a diagnosis, refuse to speak to me or correct errors and will not issue medications. My mother is a retired school nurse and I note that OPTUMRx and United Healthcare are not BBB certified and have 88 negative complaints of 89 proffered.

"UnitedHealth Group has received 3.48 out of 5 stars based on 83 Customer Reviews and a BBB Rating of A." They are the absolute worst. On 2 separate occasions, I had called about a specific procedure and was told it's covered both times. Then they denied it after the fact. In addition, my in-network doctor apparently uses a lab that UHC doesn't cover. How am I suppose to know to even ask about that? The only thing they tell you is to try to use an in-network doctor. I am a new member of OptumRX - they were very nice over the phone, every time I've spoken to them, at least 6 times in the past month! Still just trying to get my first order filled! I am now out of medication and the responsibility of fixing this is on me. First they say it's held up at the doctor's end (*it wasn't) your order is being shipped. Two weeks goes by, no order. HORIBBLE HEALTH INSIRANCE COMPANY! UHC back 15 years ago was great however with the growth and changes this company is horrific! Where to start? My claim for a birth control consult has been denied multiple times in the 5 months since the visit. My provider keeps re-submitting the claims as they tell her to, with the correct modifiers as they instruct her, and then it is denied again. I called again after the third denial and a customer service representative at United Healthcare told me that they do not cover office visits for birth control pill consults. I writing this review because I was completely mislead when registering for individual insurance through UnitedHealthCare. When registering, I was under the impression that my coverage would come directly from UHC. TERRIBLE customer service. It is taking a week to correct incorrect processing of prescriptions. Cust. reps do not know what they are doing. Supervisors are rude and arrogant. They both lie and avoid answering questions. I'm waiting for my BP prescription - I'm getting sick from their incompetence
