Why do we allow health insurance companies like this exsist. I am told I can no longer see my dr unless I pay out of my own pocket. I have seen my dr for at least 15 years. I have a pre exsisting condition, I am also not allowed to see my specialist for headaches unless I pay 1000.00 out of my own pocket. Why do we allow this to happen?????

OptumRX is the worst and shame on you AARP and UHC for recommending and using them! This is the second year in a row where the amounts on some medications given to Medicare.gov for their annual sign up website and on their website app are not even close to the amount they actually “cost” (the total amount towards my donut hole) The price on website $415.07 for 3 months supply - but when ordered $1034 in 2018 and $904 in 2019 changing the cost of my plan completely. Got to be the worst company ever. they do not know how to complete orders, send wrong amounts, bill credit cards fraudulently, hang up on you when trying to resolve issues. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. A 1-star review is one too many.
Our company switched over from Express Scripts to OptumRX. Since then they have refused to fill my wife medicine saying that is not the normal amount. The doctor has called and faxed over several times saying she needs to be on them, but they just refused. They will not let us know the order was cancelled and it will just disappear from their online site. This is the complaint email I sent them today for only the recent issues at hand since being a UMR member. The WORST customer service and provision of services! After receiving LTD for about a year, I just received a letter that they wanted almost all of the money they paid me returned. $27650.00! When I was injured at work, I received STD for about 6 months and when that ran out and I could no longer work at any light-duty posts at work, I was forced to choose between retiring early or being terminated and losing my health insurance benefits. I am just reviewing for now, but if I don't get a proper answer by 03/15/2019, I will be filing a complaint here, My issue with Optum Bank is that, after an incorrect submission of a claim on my side because of ADP, a lot of issues with the website, and a plethora of Customer support calls to finally clarify the process ans status of my claim , the account now shows that I owe them money when I haven't even used the card once. To start this, I have an HMO plan. So i expect to jump through a few hoops to get coverage on what i need. This being said, this has been the most backwards healthcare I've experienced. Expect to call their customer service department every other day to make sure your procedure approval isn't dropped or on hold. Shame on this company!! Called none times to find a dentist in the HMO network and both lists provided, had not one provider that takes this insurance. Absolute scam.... Called ten times and these people are not helpful and have zero resolutions. Put on hold and they disconnected multiple calls Next step is attorney general investigation.
