The last two U-haul rentals I dealt with went very poorly. On December 9th I used the U-Haul app to make use of the 24/7 Truck Share feature. My reservation was changed the day before and I received a $50 credit but I had to eat into that credit to buy additional gasoline because the new location was about 20 miles away from my home. When I arrived at the facility in Eagan, MN, the app would not allow me to add a photo of the odometer and gasometer so I had to say the gas tank was full when it was actually only 3/8 full (cos... read more

If I could rate them zero Stars I would unfortunately it won't let me. I had a U-Haul for one night traveled back and forth a few times from Vancouver to Portland and they somehow found a way to charge me $300 I am a low-income only and my children literally will not have Christmas because of this or a lot less of a Christmas. Whoever thought that 25.95 could turn into $300. I can't believe that when I came to turn the truck in and I walked in at 6:59 and they close at 7 she literally told me to get out of the store! Uhaul changes the pick up drop off locations and times and types of vehicles on a whim. Their system has cost me a non refundable plane ticket. DO NOT try and schedule important moves with this company, you will be sorry. I've been badly burnt financially twice by this company. Never again. Unfortunately a poorly run company with a bad process.

I had reserved a 15' truck, 2 dollies and hired 2 movers through U-Haul to move my items from a storage unit to my home on November 29th. I did the entire process online. On Nov 29th at noon I arrived to pick up the truck and meet the movers at my storage unit. At that time I was told "THEY" overbooked and there was NO VEHICLE AVAILABLE FOR ME. If I could give the location a zero that would be my decision. My terrible experience occurred on 11/15/2020. My plan for that day was to return the 15-foot truck and auto transportation device to this location after my 10-hour trip the day before. Trying to be proactive I went to the office to evaluate the storage unit I was planning on renting just to make sure it was big enough. My husband and I recently moved cross country by car back in August. I had reserved two U-Boxes to transport our belongings, to be filled at U-Haul in Downtown Tucson, AZ. We ended up needing only one, and the U-Box website made it very clear that we would only have to pay for what we used. After filling and locking the U-Box on 8/7, the employees assured me that the box would be shipped according to the schedule I had reserved, for arrival at U-Haul in Lebanon, NH on 8/22. U-Haul location 4747 N Nob Hill Rd, Sunrise, FL 33351 is absolutely unprofessional and totally rude plus disrespectful to customers. I have rented at their location several years and have always had issues with their customer service or lack thereof not to mention the unsanitary conditions of the unit hallways-bus and critters everywhere. U-Haul never addresses their rude employee's behaviour towards their customers. I had booked my truck a month prior of my moving. Couple of days before that I decided to change the reservation to get 20' truck. Their system allowed the change to go through and showed me a successful reservation change. However, in an hour or two, their customer service calls me to notify me that the reservation I changed is not available and that my previous reservation will now have to be modified. I went to use a van on 11/6 at 4:09pm and returned it same day at 7:28pm. It smelled like goats and the clerk said they did the best to clean it but nothing they could do. Moving along so I was told he’d close out my ticket and email me I never received.
