Customer service was terrible. They changed my pickup location to a place over 150 miles away. So I cancelled and rebooked in a town that was closer (Vegas)I called to confirm after hours pickup. They weren't sure if the location provided that. They changed my pickup location again. I called to confirm a 26' truck would be available for after hours pickup.Pay for an **** to go to pickup location. Truck is boxed in. I incurred toll charges with the U Haul truck rental. Since I returned the truck a month and a half ago, I have received a half dozen emails demanding payment for the toll charges plus administrative fees. I paid the amount cited each time. But it seems it was never quite enough. There was always a couple more toll charges plus administrative fees. Today I received another email demanding another payment. On April 16th, 2021, I placed an order with U-Haul for a Hitch and ****** RidgeBack 2. Installation date was supposed to be on April 27th. I received a call a few days prior informing me that the parts had not arrived, and we needed to reschedule my appointment.A second appointment was again cancelled as the parts had not come in.Third time is the charm they say. I have for the past 10 years rented a uhaul 6x12 trailer in North Carolina and dropped it off in ******* **. My charge has always been around $255. However this time they charged me $719.22 because they said they were short of trailers in North Carolina and had a lot of trailers in *******. this is price gouging at its worst. We made a reservation weeks prior to our move. On the day prior to picking up our truck, the site informed us we would be unable to pick up our truck at our scheduled time. We therefore rescheduled as a later time wasnt conducive. On the rescheduled day we were to pick up our truck, the facility confirmed at 9am our truck would be ready at 10am. I took my car to U-Haul to have a wiring harness installed, they nearly caught my car on fire messing with the battery. He created an arc weld, burned parts in my car, and melted the wiring on my battery. What's worse is when they called me telling me they nearly caught my car on fire they then hung up on me when I was in a panic trying to find out what the heck happened. I rented an open motorcycle trailer in ******, ******* on June 3rd for a one way travel to **. U-Haul charged me approximately $180.00 for the rental which was fast, painless and the trailer worked great. I arrived in Jersey on June 7th a day earlier than the June 8th mandatory drop off date and went to the designated drop off location and they refused the drop off because they said they were sick of U-Hauls policies and he is no longer in business with them even though he had several trailers and trucks owned by U-Haul on h... read more

I just used a UHaul for 2 hours, returned it at 3pm and the manager told me I could just leave the keys because he was backed up with other check ins. Got my **** and they charged me a $20 after hours fee and stated I checked the truck in at 5pm! I was at my in laws for dinner at that time. I also think they overcharged for mileage but I cant prove that. Do not use UHaul, dishonest and overpriced. I tried to call their customer service number and was on hold for 15 minutes.
