I took the u-haul truck in yesterday and the U haul personnel told me how much gas to put in the truck for refill. We went to gas station, met another uhaul staff member, they also told us how much fuel to refill...Gomart....1/2 mile away. We refilled the truck and returned the truck. The last uhaul staff member was extremely rude yelling at us. We remembered him from last May 2020, because he took our truck in then. Extremely unprofessional. I relocated from Idaho to AZ. I reserved a one way truck rental two months prior to my departure. I called to confirm my rental one week before I was to leave and was told they could not guarantee a truck for a one-way move, that they were not sure they would receive one by then. WHAT??? That's why you make reservations. I called another company. I also reserved a storage unit one month prior to my arrival. While on the road I called to confirm my reservation. Their system was down. In March of 2021, my husband received word that he would need to transfer his position to another state so we promptly booked a 20 foot Uhaul with tow hitch to tow my car as we own two vehicles. The morning before our move, they called us to let us know that 1. The Uhaul we reserved would not be available at the agreed upon and scheduled pick-up time that we reserved and 2. We scheduled an appointment with Uhaul to install a hitch to pull a trailer for our long distance move with small children. First appointment created 4/20/2021 to install a hitch in 4/28/2021 for moving on May 1. The Uhaul location calls the day of saying they don’t have the part. Instead of making the appointment and charging me for a location that doesn’t have the part, I could have gone with another company who could have installed it already. You are an absolutely horrible company. You cancelled on me twice even though I booked weeks in advance. Every customer service rep & manager (except for Corporate) couldn’t have cared less what situation this put us in. They just told me they wouldn’t do anything for me and my crying for management would do nothing for the situation. U-Haul forced us to drive 120 miles to pickup truck. The day before our 5 day drive from OR to MN, U-Haul called and said the truck we had rented would only be available at a location 120 miles further than the location on our reservation. That was 4 hours of additional driving and gas for my wife and I the day before out trip. Customer Service foul up. When customer service was telling us we had to drive 120 miles out of our way to get the moving truck, they said they would set up an extra day and mileage on our contract. W... read more

My sister wanted to rent from U-Haul she needed help with the down payment I paid down payment only with no contract no signature in my name my sister didn't pay her balance so they still had my credit card on file even though I didn't have a contract I didn't rent the U-Haul vehicle they took the remaining balance $248.33 out of my account I feel this is a rip off I want to warn others not to provide your credit card unless you are the contractor. We were 4 hours late on a rental return, keys were put in drop box and then got the receipt that we were charged for another FULL 24 hour rental period. Store was closed at 1:00 PM so we were unable to call them once we realized we would be late getting back. Returned the truck and decided to call today to dispute the extra day. Called the store this morning, nothing they can do. Called customer service, they emailed the district manager, manager called me and told me nothing she can do. I had a rental reservation #91213950, made it over a month ago, for a wedding event this weekend. Get call from Boise, Idaho office telling me the trailer is in Mt. Home and I can driver 1 1/2 hours to get it and come back and they will let me drop it off with them when I am done. They will also give me an extra day for free.
