I rented a U-Haul Motorcycle Trailer on July 12th. I had made it approximately 45 miles when the trailer came off the hitch causing nearly $7,000 worth of damage. The person that hooked the trailer up, did not tighten it all the way down. I was stranded on the side of the interstate for an hour before I could get someone to help me. The person that came to help, wasn't even with U-Haul. I could not get in touch with U-Haul's roadside assistance via phone or online. I rented a pick up after being in a accident with my truck, I needed another day so I was charged $68.00 for a $39.00 a day truck plus .69 a mile, then I accident left several hand tools in the door pocket, returned the truck on Sunday. I spent hours trying to call the local office to advise on my tools and keep being sent to another state, after work I went to the office and explained, they said no tools was there, bottom line dishonest employees, and poor management, dont rent from these crooks.

I wish I could give 0 stars.We showed up at our scheduled pick up time, only to find out they did not have the trailer we reserved. They expected us to drive 3 hours out of our way to a location that had a trailer.This ruined our move and cost us 100s of dollars and we didnt even get an apology.I will never use Uhaul again.

i reserved a 15' truck online, over a week in advance. received confirmation email stating that i would be contacted by a representative by 6pm the day before. there was no such call. the morning of, i take the initiative and call the **** number. they transfer me to reservations, and after i give them my reservation number i am put on hold UNTIL THEY HANG UP ON ME ! i call back and they tell me there is no truck for me. i ask, what do i do ? and they say to go pickup a truck from a location 2 hours away from me. i tell them... read more

In summary, the 'reservation guarantee" was messed up and I called to get them to fix it. I was distressed about it on the phone so a very nice employe sweetly asked if I wanted to speak to a manager and transferred me. ***** said she didn't see what mistake was made and what I was 'all upset about'. She said she had no responsibility (I find out later that I was owed $50 for this error.... That's what she should have said to me.) I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service I received today! I brought my vehicle into the U-Haul store in ********************** (**** ***********, ***************, ** *****) for my scheduled appointment to install a hitch for my bike rack. I dropped off the vehicle at 2pm, and the guy that I dropped it off to said the car will be ready in an hour and a half tops. I would give it negative stars if I could. They are absolutely horrible, they say one thing and do another and when you call customer support they deny everything and blame you even though its their staffs fault. There is no due diligence. They say your conversations are recorded but they dont refer to them even though you ask them to to confirm that their staff was in the wrong. They all say different things and regardless of their inconsistencies no one in their staff is held accountable and no refund is made. The worst th... read more

I am furious with UHAUL. The day before we were supposed to pick up one of our trucks in ******* **,, they didn't have it at the location. So they switched to another location 2 HOURS away!!!!! Mind you I've called UHAUL 8 times already! I told the rep, just leave the one in ************** and I'll figure it out. She said ok I'll leave your reservation there, even sent an email confirmation. I called again to confirm, about an hour later, THEY GAVE MY Reservation AWAY!!!!!! What the hell! My family rented a 26 ft and a 5X8 trailer to go to **** from ********. Yes we ended up having to pick it up almost 40 minutes away from the original pick up location BUT the area manager guy ********************* gave us an extra 100 miles for the inconvenience. But sadly we have issues with our personal vehicle being towed on a tow bar and then my husband suffered from heat exhaustion that we didn't get to go YET.
