From the beginning everything was just a nightmare, specially for the price we paid!! My family and I had to wait hours after check in for my room to be ready, mind you my check in was at 4pm and I am traveling with a baby. Our TV was broken, the phone wasn’t working so we literally were not able to order room service or anything the first day, we had to Uber eats. The room had no microwave and the fridge was hot. My friend booked a room at the AC Hotel in Tampa for a Monday night game Bucs game @$250. Two days later I tried to book a room, the rate went to $1400.00. If that is not price gouging I don't know what is. This should be against the law! Florida has rules for price gouging and hotels should be on the list!!

Springhill Suites Winston-salem Hanes Mall - Winston Salem My recent stay at the SpringHill Suites in Winston-Salem was an absolutely terrible experience, and without a doubt, the worst hotel visit I have had in years. Marriott Bonvoy customer service is rude, unresponsive, and apathetic. They do not make things right when one of the Marriott properties treats customers poorly.

Our stay was absolutely horrible!! The heat did not work in our room & we were freezing both nights that we were there!! The maintenance guy came and he worked on it for a few hours and he said he couldn’t do much to fix it. He said the capacitor was not working and he had to take it out. He did that and the heat still did not work so we had to spend another night freezing our butts off! Then when we finally we able to sleep there was someone beating on the walls next door. Paid in advance for a reservation at the Marriott Courtyard in Mount Laurel, NJ and requested two queen beds, and a balcony, and a high floor. When I arrived, I was told that there would be an additional fee levied for the room I reserved and already paid for. The reason both the associate and the manager provided was that their property did not have the combination of two queen beds and a balcony, so if I wanted a balcony, I would be charged an extra fee. I booked my March weekend stay back in December 2022 through Hotwire (Marriott Marquis in downtown San Diego). The stay was pleasant enough. Four days after my stay (3/31/2023) I noticed a large charge and called to investigate. I was told it was an error and that my card would be credited 5-7 days later (Spoke with a Natasha). On day eight after no credit, I called to follow up. I was then told I was charged an extra night and that they would have to look at security records to confirm I left the day of my original booking.... read more

The Marriott conglomerate is taking money from customers but not providing basic security such as camera surveillance in their parking lots. Additionally, they have disabled existing security measures (i.e., unmanned guard shack and barrier access gate). Their business should install cameras and signs informing thieves of this security measure or lose their ability to run hazardous parking lots. I booked my reservation 2 months ago at the Marriott Springhill suites in downtown Houston so I could be close to public transportation. This is important since I am an amputee. When I booked, I was a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, although I have since been downgraded to Titanium Elite.
