I was given a reference to LoanDepot by a close friend. After chatting with them, we were pre-approved within 48hrs. If it wasn't for the mistakes made by both my agent and the selling agent, we would have settled back in January. The selling agent (nor the owner) had any clue about selling a mobile home. I’d give a minus 5 stars if I could. Awful. Quick and helpful to process the loan and try to lock you in. But when a problem arose - that they caused - they went silent and wouldn’t even respond. Terrible customer service once they get you signed up. Won’t return calls or emails. Go somewhere else, preferably a local bank.

Loan Depot was outstanding in every respect and made the refinancing of my condo effortless. My loan officers, Chase D****** and Jimmy F********, were easy to work with, highly-knowledgable, and extremely professional. They always were available for any questions, but they took care of everything -- it truly was a seamless process from start to finish. Loan Depot's closing attorney & staff here in Mass. also were fantastic.

Second time around for us with Loan Depot, they contacted us with the opportunity to lower our current mortgage from the current mortgage which they held, never had that happen before? In addition, having been through their process previously, we had very little to do to get his re-fi completed and had almost everything their underwriters requested readily available on-line and we could respond quickly. Less than 30-days second time around to close!

Good rates, great lending officer. But we had bad experience with account manager which resulted in multiple months delay, documents sent to wrong title company and 4 (!) cancellations of notary appointments. If we weren't as far along the process, I would not have proceeded with the loan closing. Customer success line escalation didn't lead anywhere either. Applied for a loan after high pressure sales call. They lost my loan after 3 weeks and I had to resubmit a new application and docs and everything. The promised me cash at close to entice me to leave a lender whom I was already working with and approved through. I took the offer regrettably. It took them over 120 days to close a refi! They sent an agent to my house and we closed our loan, then I was sent more docs after words to be signed. Docs they had from before. I just closed with loanDepot on a 15-year fixed mortgage. They offered the best rate (and I looked on a lot of different websites), but warned me that it would take a while to close. I had a good feeling about the folks at loanDepot I was working with (Victor A*** and Danielle A****), and I stuck with them, and we just closed at a rate that was substantially lower than the other best available rates.
