I thought Loan Depot was a reputable company when I opened an account in 2018. When I refinanced in 2021 I went elsewhere because Loan Depot wouldn't match interest rate. It's been 38 since since my loan was paid off and my escrow account still not refunded to me. Their customer service has told me they refund in 15 days, then 20 days then 30 days, then check was sent 2 weeks ago. Is their bank account that low, they can't send me $1600?

This is an awful lender. I have been enrolled in automatic payments since December and they have not been processed properly 1 time. I have to call them every. single. month. and have the same idiotic conversation. When we first began with them last year, they changed our loan number and the website for account access without proper notice. I have to chase them for basic functions. Completely unacceptable. Steer Clear.

Worst refinance experience ever. I dnt recommend unless you have all the patient in the world. The numbers since the begging changed multiple time. my credit was great and we didnt have any issue. it took us more than 5 month to refinance.

Started working with Loan Depot on a possible refinance on our existing mortgage. I told the loan officer and his supervisor exactly what was necessary for my husband and me to even consider switching our existing loan which was with their main competitor, Quicken Loans. Loan Depot could not provide me with the terms necessary for us to even consider switching our loan and I requested that they close our file. I am independent contractor on 1099 (not on salary) which make the process much harder. The complexity of the loan process, meeting all presumed requirements, providing underwriter's new requirements and solving unseen problems during the process can add tremendous frustration The solution was and is good and honest communication between your loan officer and supporting personal to tackle the issues. I chose LoanDepot, because they offered the best loan out of the 4 others reviewed. This also included a great interest rate and down payment. My lending officer, Jennifer J****** was extremely supportive throughout this process.
