Do not trust these guys! After almost 6 months we have nothing to show but a rejection letter for our refinance. We have an 810 credit score, enough cash on hand to buy out this mortgage at anytime, and a whopping 50% equity in the home. They stalled and stalled and stalled, while rates went up and up and up. Just funded a loan last week! My interest rate was previously 3% and it is now 2.5%. No cost, as promised back in December. Process took a little longer but the market price is way higher now so I am thankful!

I was subject to classic "bait and switch" tactics, which I consider highly unethical - maybe even illegal? I was first provided a pre-approval loan letter of $704,000. Then, I was told they made a mistake and then only offered $548,000 with a required deposit of $150,000. Then, after they found out I had to pay a measly $100 a month in HOA, they increased my required deposit to $205,000. This feels like a criminal and immoral practice. We actually started out with a different lender and switched to LoanDepot because our original lender put the brakes on everything the day before closing. We had absolutely no problems with LoanDepot. They were helpful, friendly and the process was much smoother than our previous lender. I'll be recommending them to anyone who asks :) They're an awesome group!
