Phenomenal service and staff. Outstanding food. Rooms are unbelievable. Well ran management.
In an effort to maintain its classic charm, the Ritz Carlton feels dated, especially in the guest rooms. Overall, the building is easy to navigate but the elevators are extremely slow (travels slow, doors open slowly). The service, however, was impeccable. Everyone greeted us warmly and served us excellently (except for one grumpy bartender). If you have activities in downtown Atlanta, I definitely recommend it.
We have been Ritz Carlton customers for years, and have for the most part, had wonderful experiences. However, this last stay at the Atlanta Ritz was extremely disappointing. Our room, booked via AMEX Platinum Fine Hotels and Resorts was not even as nice as a Marriott Courtyard. The room smelled of urine, the bathroom was dated with no water closet nor walk-in shower. Loved it. Totally awesome. I don't know why but we were upgraded to the presidential suite. How could you not give that five stars. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and would do anything to make your stay special.
The Christmas brunch...EXCELLENT!!!Chef Ramesh and his team did a fabulous job. EVERYONE was courteous and helpful. Our servers Nicole and Sha...we're excellent. I wanted pancakes which were not on the buffet. Chef Ramesh made them and brought them to my table PERSONALLY. The valet and the hostesses were courteous and prompt. It was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.
