To the manager who had the audacity to refuse a VETERAN their discount way to show support for our troops! He had his military id with him yet you still deny him because he does not qualify? PLEASE EXPLAIN how he does not qualify? Last time I checked he served our country so does that not make him a veteran? How would you feel if someone did that to one of your family members? Men and women fight for YOUR FREEDOM EVERY DAY! The least you could do is give them the discount they deserve for keeping Americans safe! Way to be a ... read more

So, I also noticed the incident with the veteran and the obvious agitated veteran who questioned the manager. I think I would readdress the word "manager" with regards to how this was done inappropriately. I dropped my purchases and left as well and informed my family of the lack of professionalism that I witnessed while visiting and attempting to update an elderly family members house. ---retired Marine

I can not believe the cockiness of the Store Manage of this store to deny a Veteran his discount. Cleanly this needs to be changed as discounts are always given in the Home Depot Stores. The person blamed policy for this, and told the customer basically it was his choice to shop their or not. I will venture to say you have lost several customers over this. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves for treating paying customers like this. You know Lowes will now be getting my buisness till this Corporate policy changes. Shame on ... read more

You are terrible for changing your policy for Veterans. If it weren't for them you wouldn't have the freedom to even own a store and we wouldn't have the freedom to shop. What is it going to hurt to offer them their 10% discount? How many other groups get discounts? More and more people are disrespecting veterans and you are showing terrible disrespect for the service they gave for you! Shame shame. I really hope the story goes viral and you lose all sorts of business

Just read what you did to the Veteran by telling him he no longer qualified. THAT was a horrible call. A Veteran is a Veteran. Whether they fought the Korean War, the war of 1912, WWi, WWII, Desert Storm,...IT DOES NOT MATTER I'm betting that the dbag that didn't give him his discount is **NOT** a veteran in any sense of the word. There are plenty of Home Depot's and Ace Hardware stores to go to, to do my shopping. I don't have to go to your store any more. And after this type of bad behavior on your part, I don't think I wa... read more

So that's how you treat Veterans huh? Can't believe this what a POS. Well look at the location, WA. I just spent over $100 in my local store last night. Guess I will take it back and go to Lowes.

Dear Home Depot Manager of this Location, I hope you know that you are a horrible piece of s**t for what you did to that veteran! I have 3 Home Depots here and they give the discount to Veterans no matter what! They all support our troops for what they have done for us and they are going to get down to whats happening and think it isn't right! You will loose the service and soon there will be so much complaints that I know that you will loose your job!! I hope you do and you learn your lesson!!!! Your a horrible human being ... read more
