To our veterans who sacrificed so much for our country...I'm surprised how large companies offer military discounts to active duty but once you've served and no longer active... There seems to be no appreciation for our veterans. I've always loved Home Depot but this changes my outlook on this store. .....there are other hardware stores that appreciate active duty..retired..and veterans! Look around and patronize those business.
JERKS you stink! You need to have more respects for the people who have and are serving our country. They are who protect out freedoms.
How horribly ignorant is it be rude and disrespectful to any customer much less an elderly veteran. Shame on everyone who had the opportunity to make this right but chose to be a petty coward.
I think it's time all veterans and their families BLAST Home Depot Corporate office with a few demands of their own. Firstly ALL, repeat, ALL Veterans get the military discount and 2nd.... ALL moron managers who refuse be demoted to warehouse worker........... or ALL military veterans and their families will shop elsewhere............................. Lowes honors the discount for both veterans and family members with a valid ID. Just a suggestion!!!

I read the story of your denying a discount to an elderly veteran. You have sunk to the bottom of the scum. I will be a loyal Lowes shopper from now on and I will urge everyone I know and on ALL social media to boycott. The smart ass manager needs to be shown the door and customer dis-service improved and a FULL apology issued by corporate.
