My 18 month old has been waiting on the ER for 5 hours. It is completely absurd that a sick kid has to wait this long to get medical attention.
We just left a 9 day stay at Texas Childrens. We are so happy with everything. It's no fun to have your child in the hospital but everyone, right down to the janitorial was so wonderful. We were especially impressed with Dr. Jeffrey Starke (infectious diseases) who definitely had our sons best intentions in mind. The west campus was so convenient as well. The last time little was there with RSV the doctors and staff were great. We went in last night for high fever cough and congestion justo be told by a resident that she "might have the flu" but never ran any test due to flu season being over and diagnosed her with and upper respiratory infection after being there for 4 hours. She wakes up today with a fever I take her to her pcp and guess what she has the flu and we are still in the time frame to get medication!!! Big failure I spent a horrible day in their emergency room with my little daughter
Horrible horrible horrible service in the ER. Arrived around 8:30 pm with a referral that my son may have appendicitis. Took almost 2 hours for him to get an ultrasound then back to the waiting room until almost 3 am. Finally brought into the room where a nurse came in one time. The doctor came in, her phone rang, she left for over 1/2 hour. Finally comes back in and never even looked at his medical history which was online. She only read the ultrasound results. Worst fucking hospital in katy to take your child the wait is out rages we showed up at 8 and it was 2 am still never got seen even after treiage got told that there was an 8 hour wait i would really hate to see what they would do if it was a like or death situation thats not an emergency room thats a fucking waiting room a waiting room for disaster they have a very poor staff they seemed very un professional
This place is a joke... I haven't been helped and the nurses here have no sense of urgency . Ill be filing a complaint in the morning
I have been here since 6pm with my 2month old son who has had a fever for a week and has now started to have a bad cough. I got called back around 6:40ish to do vitals and got called back after they "lost" us (since they put us in the back waiting room due to my son being so young) around 9pm I am still sitting in the room now at 9:56pm and haven't seen a nurse nor dr at all.
