I am so happy to see I am not alone. – I will NEVER step foot in this place again. When are we going to realize that cheap tacos are not worth this kind of aggrivation? The staff in this place are incredibly rude only to be outdone by their management. After placing a to-go order for a large party I sat down at the bar to wait for my order. I was promptly asked to "abandon" my seat and wait outside for my food.
Bad food, rude service – Atlanta is a faddish town and this place is a fad. Terrible food and service that would apppeal only to Atlantans.
Rude, Inconsiderate, Just not worth it........... – This place is just not worth it... if you care about who you give your monies to and how they treat you. I must say the menu, the food, has got to be the only reason why they still have a business. Yet after awhile you began to realize how much for granted they take the public. No respect! – Often referred to as the Taco Nazis for their rude service, this is where the similarities end with Seinfelds Soup Nazi. With the Soup Nazi, people were willing to ignore the service because the soup was so outstanding. Here, the tacos are not worth it. Are the tacos good? Yes. Are they better than the 800 other taco joints in Atlanta that actually are kind to their customers? No. I urge you to not give this place your business until they realize that their customers should be treated with respect.
Good food, but.... – Okay, the food is quite good and the margaritas are excellent. If you can manage to make it through the long line and get past the rude staff, you can get a good, cheap meal.
Surprisingly Good – I'd read many negative reviews on the service but heard the food was can't miss. As I waited in line, I was prepared to do battle with the dreaded cashier. Much to my surprise, the cashier was friendly and sensing my aprehension, even joked with me. As far as the can't miss taco's, the Brisket and Carnita are excellent. Cheese dip is a must! Stay away from the Memphis Taco unless the idea of mixing BBQ and Mexican appeals to you. Didn't work for me but everything else was great!
Here are the rules... – Every time I eat at Taqueria, I swear I won't go back. The service is that bad! But then I start to crave the tacos. For you who are new to Taqueria, here are the rules: 1) Don't sit before you order 2) Pay attention, and ORDER QUICKLY 3) Eat fast 4) Vacate your table as you swallow your final bite 5) No takeout 6) When at the bar, you are expected to eat even faster than those who have tables. Long Line Not for Long – I went to the bar for a take out order and they told me to hold on. They took an order from a couple who sat down at the bar after me. When I asked why they went ahead of me, they said I was a take out order which is an "after thought" and I can't order until the take out person in front of me has received their food. FANTASTIC! – I must say, after reading some of the reviews, I was a bit unsure of this place. My boyfriend was craving fish tacos and persuaded me into going. I was pleasently suprised. The gentleman taking our orders was friendly, and no one made us get up from our table when we were finished. The margaritas are fantastic and you get a great view of the city on the patio. I recommend the fish tacos and the chips with guacamole (definetely homemade and fresh).
