quick and in a hurry – Even though the restaurant is PACKED on weekdays during lunch time, people eat and go pretty quickly. The service here is quick. People are constantly on the run. I was surprised how full I got with the amount I spent. If you're looking for quick, cheap Mexican food this is it. They have 3 locations that I know that I know of. Cheshire, Decatur, and Midtown. Located in 3 busy areas, it's good to just order and eat somewhere else sometimes!
Do Not Go to Taqueria del Sol in Decatur -- EVER!!!!! – I just had the worst restaurant dining experience at Taqueria del Sol in Decatur. Good food, not-so-good service – You've read a bunch of scathing reviews already about the repellent service. Well, it's true. We've gone there quite a bit over the past several years, always feeling ambivalent about it. The food's good, but the service is so outrageously horrible, it'd be laughable if it weren't true. Worst service in town, El taco Veloz is better – If you are looking to be treated badly, this is the resturant for you. The food is pretty good, but the horrible, rude service far outweighs any benefits. I have tried all the locations with the same outcome. Best fish tacos ever! – The beef brisket enchiladas and the beef brisket tacos are great, but the fish tacos are FABULOUS!!!
Rude Staff, rushed service, but good food – Maybe the problem with this place is that I don't know how to label it...it's not a typical fast food place, nor is it a restaurant w/table side service, and therein lies the rub. Can't get around the Quirks – The food is better than Moe's, Willies and most strip-mall type Mexican restaurants. I tried to make Taqueria a favorite restaurant of mine, but with each visit Taqueria became more and more a place that I disliked. Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport opens a Taco Stand – Over Rated! Is how I'd describe this place to a friend. I visited TDS based on word of mouth from people in my office.
