Athens Location is Great – I read some bad reviews about Taqueria Del Sol in Atlanta, but the Athens location is great. It is located in the same spot that a service station used to be, so it retains that charm but it is fixed up very well. The service is always very fast and the people that work there always take care of your baskets and cups (making it seem almost half-fast food/ half restaurant.) Good Food except-- old discolored " fresh salsa"... – We had two versions of the same salsa. One of the salsas were brown, bland, and tasted like it had been refrigerated uncovered for a week. The other salsa (which the staff claims is the exact same salsa) was bright red and tasted great.. Hmmm the salsa is hit or miss here. The food was decent. I wouldn't write home about it. The only reason I am even posting is because of the nasty salsa discrepancy.

Poor service? Are you kidding? – I'm not sure what expectations you could possibly have about "service" at TDS. You wait in line, you order your food, and the wait staff brings it. That's it! This is not a full service restaurant where you flag down waiters to refill your drinks or bring out desserts. If you want more water or tea, you get it yourself, people. Great food, cheap, and fast! – My boyfriend and I frequent Taqueria del Sol at least once a week because (after you get through the line) the food comes SUPER quick - (in fact, I still don't know how the servers find us since there are no table numbers or anything and it's free seating) The corn chowder is a MUST TRY, the memphis taco is interesting and delicious, and the fish is good too! Great food, poor service – The Tacos here are really good along with the rest of the menu. It is always packed and has all kinds of people coming in there, but the one thing that makes it only get 3 stars is the service. They are not friendly, they kind of give you dirty looks from time to time if they don't like what you said or you made your order to complicated. Our waiter dissappeared on us, and we sat with empty drink cups for like 15 minutes before I flagged someone down and asked them if they could get us some drinks.... read more

Rudest, Most Unfriendly Staff in Atlanta – I have gone to this place for the last time! I am sick of being greeted by people who could care less about its customers. Me and my friends joke that it's the "Soup Nazi" style of management. Only the people who bring you your food are ever somewhat pleasant. Everyone else, looks like they are so unhappy to be there, and they treat the customers accordingly. The food isn't that great either. Good food - not at all family friendly! – We've always enjoyed their tacos - despite their long lines. However, they are not in any fashion or form family friendly! They do give you dirty looks when you bring in a lil' one...

so so food – The tacos are good and cheap, but the service here is cheap too. The waiter was rude and disappeared for almost half the night. We had to flag down a different person, who told us that he would look for our waiter.

service isn't good – The food is forgettable, but the customer service was not. Seriously, I wonder how this place stays open with all the bad wait staff reviews its been getting. The waiters were very slow with our orders and our refills. I understand that food takes time to cook, but when it takes more than 30 minutes, there's something seriously wrong.
