GOOD EATS – TAQUERIA DEL SOL IS ONE OF THE BEST MEXICAN INSPIRED PLACES TO EAT IN ATLANTA. THE FOOD IS GREAT AND INEXPENSIVE. THE OVERALL ENVIRONMENT IS FUN. THE STAFF MOVES FAIRLY QUICK. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE WOULD BE THE LONG LINES THAT ARE CONSTANTLY OUT OF THE DOOR. BUT THAT IS SURELY A TELL TALE SIGN THAT THE FOOD IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT.
Taqueria del no no... – I have been a fan of Taqueria del Sol since the first one opened on the Westside. I have raved about their tacos. I have spread the good word about their chips. I have even mastered skipping the line and snagging a spot at the bar to grab a quick bite and a glass of wine! BUT, sadly, all good things must come to an end. Believe the Hype – I've enjoyed the Huff/Howell Mill Road restaurant for almost ten years now and have always known you stand in line, give your order, sit eat and get out! That's it in a nutshell. Food is excellent and the "system" works like a Piaget watch. Not all of us drag around kids and it seems as if they are always the one's complaining.
Pretentous – Taqueria has good food. I do not think it's cheap. Appropriately priced maybe. I get the feeling from the staff that I should be privelaged to eat at their restaurant. The line and the attitude is not worth the food.
Most Rude Staff I have ever encountered – On my first visit with 7 of my closest friends, I experienced the most demeaning treatment by a manager/owner at this restaurant. While waiting in line outside, my friend stepped inside to check out the table situation. Since none of us had ever eaten there, we did not realize that the "management" would secure a table for us. Terrible Customer Service – I was excited to dine for the first time with my group of ten friends. We waited in the ordering line patiently as we visited with each other. Once my party was ordering, another friend and I walked to get two tables next to each other in the restaurant. The food is excellent, very authentic and inexpensive. The margaritas are the best. The fish tacos are my favorite. The only problem is you have to stand in line for your food and it can be very croweded. But it is worth the wait.
