Not Kid Friendly; Rude Staff; Poor Customer Service – My friend and I went into the restaurant w/ our two little girls (age 9 months) to have lunch. It was 12:30p or later and there was no line. We went to the table w/ our girls and the plan was to have one of us stay there while the other one ordered. GREAT tacobs – This place is always busy during lunch. Expect to wait in line at least 15 to 20 min during lunch hour. But it's well worth the wait. I have tried almost everything on their menu and they are all really good.
Sundown Cafe has been replaced by a Taqueria del Sol location as of March, 2007. – The Scene Blackened windows and a nondescript strip shopping center don't beckon. Once inside, you catch the low-level buzz of patrons in the small bar and large, open dining room. Horrible, horrible, horrible... – I have never, ever written a review for anything in my life. My experience here was so incredibly horrible, I couldn't NOT review it. Don't go here, it is not worth it. The food is fine, nothing outstanding. The customer service is way beyond terrible. Taco Nazis- rudest staff ever RUDE RUDE RUDE – The food is decent. That's the only good thing about the place. They are rude- please don't break any of their rules!!!!! They don't smile. They have nothing polite to say, they only speak if you violate a rule. They are not kid friendly at all, they have no high chairs. Worst Customer Service in the Universe! – I've been going to this place for years. Usually I'm fine with the service, it's not great but I don't expect it to be. Today they crossed the line. Trying to get to-go food, having to wait 45 minutes just to be able to ORDER, then being told I can only order four single items (I was trying to order 6 or the equivalent of two meals) - I had to walk away. Great Food - Service is Fine... Just Different – First of all this isn't Mexican food. Its American food wrapped in tortillas but it's a great lunch none the less. The shrimp and corn chowder is really top notch and the Memphis (BBQ brisket with slaw) is amazing. As far as the service... Just follow the rules. Decatur location filled with attitude – My wife and I love the food here - completely addicted to the fried chicken tacos, fish tacos, guac and maragaritas. Don't take your kid... Terrible service.. – TERRIBLE. I would like to tell you about the food but we didn't even eat there. My wife and I went on a Friday night to meet some friends with our baby (in his car seat). Instead of waiting in line, we find a table (near our friends) and decide who will go get the food while the other sits with the baby. Oh NO...
