My awning arm broke, which snapped the other arm off of the main bar. I called SunSetter and was on hold for over an hour. They told me to send pictures, which I did promptly and said they would contact me within 8-10 days. I never heard from them. I called them back multiple times, but couldn't remain on hold long enough to get through until now. After waiting over an hour again, I got a person that said they never received my pictures. Cannot get anyone to repair our awning. Our awning jogs out but will not retract. I’ve talked to customer service, they recommend contractors to fix it, I call them, they don’t reply. Basically there’s an awning on our roof that does not work and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. Good luck to anyone who buys a SunSetter Awning, you’ll never get anyone to fix it if it breaks. They suggest getting a new motor over the phone for big $s. Terrible! I ordered a retractable awning in June and was told I would have it in July. I have tried calling to get status of order and no one ever picks up the customer service line. Today I stayed on hold for 3 hours before finally hanging up. I emailed and only get an automated response. How can they just ignore their customers. If there was a backlog due to COVID I should have been told that when ordering. I can’t even get someone to provide my customer number so that I can check status online. I am incredibly disappointed in Sunsetter. On April 22nd I ordered a replacement fabric for our awning. I was told due to the pandemic that there would be a delay, but the warehouse will open 5/8, and we would be updated two weeks later with a ship date. 5/22 came and went. I called. I was given multiple different reasons why I did not have a ship date. Each time I was told I would have an update in two weeks. And each time two weeks have come and gone with no ship date. They have no customer service placed two orders for two different size and style awning they first stated they would ship week of 6/21/2020 then sent email it would not be until mid or late July every time I would call for an update place on hold for hours then being disconnected then on 6/27/2020 they charged my bank for two awnings but they charged for the same price for both but one was 100 dollars less they can not understand their error still waiting for their accounting department to contact me definitively they have n... read more

WE will never buy another product from this company, or refer any more of our friends. We were lead to believe we had a full replacement warranty on the product as long as we owned it, and we spent THOUSANDS of dollars on this product. About 16 months after we purchased the product, we started having issues with the motor, we reached out to Sunsetter, they sent us instructions on how to reset the motor, which we did several times. Ordered a weatherbeater shade attachment for awning. It was very heavy and I could not slide the cord through the slot of the 12’ without someone pulling on the other end to help move it. However, Imlive a.one and this is not something I can do without an assistant. Called company and found out that the 90 day satisfaction guarantee does not handle postage and I had to pay over $20 to ship it back to the company. Terrible service. I'm trying to purchase something from them and have called 4 times. Once I was told it would be a 27 minute wait another 24 minutes another I talked with someone that said she would get someone in sales to call me back but nobody did and today called and waited 10 minutes and gave up. I would certainly be afraid to purchase an awning from this company based on how difficult it is to BUY something from them.
