Our experience with this company can be described as nothing short of complete incompetence, poor customer service, total disappointment, and feeling ripped off. To begin, we bought our sunsetter in July of this year. After doing a ton of research, we decided on the **** ** (the manual version) because we were concerned about wind. The website states that the awning “closes in seconds” and “opens and closes easily in less than a minute”, so we decided that we could do without the motorized version. **As it's been over one year, I can't make a complaint with the BBB. A lame policy, as evidenced by the fact that Sunsetter has a good BBB rating but horrible reviews. We consumers get the run around for a year or more from Sunsetter until we finally realize they aren't ever going to help us. By then, it's too late to make a complaint. My $4000 year old Awning broke off my house during 11 mile an hour winds.That was July 4th 2018 today is September 20th, 2018 my awning stiill held up by a 6 foot ladder, a stack of lawn chairs. My slidding scrren door is shreeded and seal on glass door broken. Despite my constant letters, emails, text and phone callls only one representive Jacob treated me like a person. Horrible just horrible

I am a repeat customer. The first time SunSetter directed us to a local business for purchase and install. All went great. When I called SunSetter in regards to a sale promotion for previous customers they talked me into ordering directly from SunSetter and use their install service. My sales person was named Philip. Their installation service was Installation Made Easy and I needed to prepay. What a nightmare! I was rescheduled eight times. I ordered an awning 6/17/18, here it is 8/13/18 and I still haven't received it. They say it is in transit and we can't get thru on the phone. So I have cancelled my order thru *******

The ******* ****** **** has been trying to get replacement parts for an awning from this company for a month. We have called and emailed them MANY times. They said information was missing from the account--we sent it, via email and fax. They said they had it. We STILL do not have our replacement parts. We will likely be running our Fair without the awning because it will not arrive in time for us to get the awning repaired. We are VERY disappointed with their customer service.

I ordered an awning on June 4,2018 along with the brackets needed to install the awning. After repeated calls and checking the website my awning finally shipped on July 16. The delay according to Sunsetter was backordered parts,supplier delay and extremely busy season. Their website states delivery in 2-4 weeks,which was not the case. I finally received the awning July 30th but no brackets to install the awning. My $4000 year old, purchased June 2017, Sun Setter awning with remote control and wind sensor totally broke off one side off my house during 11 mile per hour winds.( Web site states awning can withstand 75 mile per hour winds) Fortunately no one was under this 300 lb item when it fell. It also shredded my sliding screen door. Sun Setter company blames their "certified" installer; the installer blames Sun Setter product. This may be a good awning but go through a dealer and not Sunsetter drect! They say it is a DIY project and I bought a 15 ft XL and 3 people cant even lift this. They are not upfront about everything in my opinion. They never sent me my lights and I see it was never put on the order. The shipping showed up late so lost a days work waiting for it thinking it was going to arrive.
