Purchase a 19 foot motorized awning 4 years ago. Upon removing the vynal cover that sun setter provided for the winter months, the awning started so shred on the top and the flap in the front was also shredding. Apparently there's a warranty for 5 years but if you really look at it the warranty depreciates every year. They wanted to charge my $680 with self install. After arguing with then and getting a sup on the phone they negotiated a price of $324 with self install. Still unacceptable but better then 680. I would never p... read more

My name is ***** ******. I live in Murfreesboro, TN. Sunsetter Awnings ****. I bought a awning from them and everything was just fine until strong winds broke it. I called Sunsetter Awnings and was told that I would have to go through the dealer that sold it to me. I called the dealer that sold it to me and he told me to fix it myself. I called Sunsetter Awnings back and was told that if I told them what part was needed to fix the Awning they would replace the part but I had to pay for shipping and repairs. None of this do t... read more

Dear BBB On April 22, 2019 I called Sunetter awning company to obtain a cover for my Sunsetter awning. I paid for it over the phone and they sent me an invoice and a confirmation email. So to start this DRAMA ridden story….The specific cover I needed for my awning was in the design faze. Yes the design faze (in which Sunsetter kept telling me it was a legal process that was going on which is why they were being redesigned. They also continued to state to me that one of the reasons for the redesign was due to a safety issue w... read more

Very poor customer service from Sunsetter I bought a motorized awning worked fine until a month after the warranty ran out the motor went. I called them and explained to them want had happen they refused to replace the motor. I explained I live in NJ where I only use the awning only a few months of the year because of the winters we have here. and would not replace it. They wanted me to pay full price for it. I do not recommend Sunsetter at all. VERRY POOR COSTOMER SERVICE

Don't expect any service from this company... on hold several times for almost an hour! The only way to get info is to give up all your personal info. Just need a simple part. Never again!

Judging by the other reviews I must have hit it lucky. We had a Sunsetter 15’ motorized XL model in coffee stripe for 14 years and it was working fine when we retired it. We replaced it with a motorized Awntech Maui because we were selling the house and what a mistake. The quality of our old Sunsetter was WAY better. It really did keep the deck cooler, and this new awning doesn’t. There were many times we forgot to roll in our Sunsetter overnight and it rained without issue. The water sheeted off and it was fine. The heavy d... read more

I recently filed a claim for a replacement motor for a SunSetter awning. I have a warranty. They indicated they would ship me a replacement motor but but I would have to pay a deposit of $77.48 that would be refunded upon my return of the defective motor. I replaced the motor and returned the defective one promptly. I was issued a refund of only $53.25. When I called to ask about the difference in payment I was THEN told there was a $25 shipping charge to the owner of the product. I told them I was not told of any responsibi... read more

We have been going back and forth with sunsetters and total home solutions for months now about not having everything I paid for and how dissatisfied we have been about this entire experience. We have asked that the product be taken down and money refunded... hasn't happened. We've asked about the holes that were drilled and still open. We've been told on 3 or 4 separate occasions that the last item included in the package that was purchased was being shipped or was on back order or was already shipped to the installer's add... read more

Customer service is a joke. Agents are NOT knowledgeable or efficient their job! I have sent 3 e-mails to clarify an installation question before I make a purchase. I called and sent same e-mail 9-21-18, 10-3-18 and 10-19-18. They put me on hold for long periods of time. I guess I will look for another vendor. A potential California buyer.
