If there is another company that sells awnings, buy from them. The customer service is out of this world horrible. Spent an hour on 7 transferred employees and 2 dropped calls just to have the wrong parts sent out. then spent another hour with 2 employees and a dropped call to get the next, hopefully correct, parts shipped out. I have never had so much trouble ordering parts and the people were rude, except for one very nice lady. they all hate their job and **** at it.
Ordered May 28 and just received them July 31, there was damage to one end - the installation kit was not included. We talked to customer service after hours of waiting and emailing. A new set was sent out Aug. 5, We received those Aug 13, there were only 2 hangers, not the required 3 and no screws....so here we go again. Can't get hold of them, then wait to send out...it will be hopefully September when we receive this and get the awning up just in time for fall to take it down. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. All communication regarding my order has been initiated by me, not once has Sunsetter reached out to us about our new awning order or its status that is now a month and a half overdue for installation. I ordered my awning in May of 2020 and it is now the middle of August. My awning is sitting in a nearby ***depot and the installer is yet to pick it up nor can I get any status on when it will be delivered and installed. Waited since 6/11 for awning, it was wrong size, they tried to explain how it was ok sticking out past edge buy a foot and the the 1inch past the gutter, it would have to be heavily discounted if we were to except it. He offered nothing except for the 250.00 off for the right size. The installers were professional and nice, not their fault. The time we have waited has exceeded our patience and even if it’s right the next time the experience has been very unpleasant for $6000. Do not do business with this company. Their customer service it the worst I have ever experienced. I ordered two awnings in May. They shipped on July 10th. There was a significant delay due to COVID which is understandable. It shipped July 10th and arrived in Gaffney South Carolina via UPS Freight. It was supposed to ship to Dothan AL and then on to my home. It has been in Gaffney for over three weeks. I was told they literally have trailers of Awnings there. Mother in law ordered an awning through a Sunsetter dealer in St. Louis. Because of Covid, it took 4 months to deliver. After speaking with the dealer and clearly telling him where it was supposed to go, the independent contractor who installed it put it in the wrong place, turns out they ordered the wrong cord and instead of doing the right thing and ordering the right part they installed and left. This is a terrible company. Upon receiving a big packet of marketing material in the mail, advertising great promotions I responded to the offer. I contacted them. They contract with a rep in my area called ***********less and told me to call him to purchase and perform the work. One of the worst businesses that I have ever dealt with! I purchased an awning in May. They overcharged me and then it took over a month to ship it. The awning somehow got lost during shipping and a trace was put on it but it was still never located. I requested a refund and to this date, I am still waiting for my full refund. They also told me I would need to pay a restocking fee for something I never received!! I am soooo irritated. Very very disappointed. I have been waiting for my awnings to ship since may 26th. It has now been ***** near 6 weeks and they have not shipped. Everytime I call they give me different information. Quite ****** off. I want to cncl my order but I was told I can't cncl until the order ship! Seriously pissed. I will NOT recommend them to anyone!!!!
