The phlebotomy team here is always amazing. However, the last two times I've been there, when checking in there is an older Indian lady who cannot understand anything I say. I know this sounds racist, but that's not what I mean at ALL. She cannot understand my very simple name. When I went in this past week, I had an appt at 12pm. I recently had a concerning experience at Sutter’s Sunnyvale 301 lab. The phlebotomist, an experienced-looking male, did not appear to follow standard hygiene protocols. Before calling me in for the blood draw, he was already wearing gloves that might had been used for prior tasks. I observed him touching various objects, surfaces, including the interior of his face mask, without disinfecting his hands or changing gloves before drawing my blood.
