I have been trying to be reimbursed for a dental claim for almost a year now. I had to send the claim in by mail four times before Aetna claimed that they finally received it. I sent it both certified and registered mail. Then they sent the reimbursement check to the dentist, or so they claimed, but the dentist never received it. So they put a stop payment on the check and told me it would take 45 days to issue another one. Stay away if possible. My prior provider used you process claims request in less than 7 days. Whereas Aetna, I submitted claim in December and its been a month and a half and still no progress. They got back to me at the end of January asking for more information on the claims and said they forgot to inform me in advance. Now it's February and still waiting on an answer from them. Very upsetting. Even at this time of pandemic, if you have to wait so long for your money, its quite a selfish nature from their part!

Get a different insurance company if you can. These guys are straight trash. I've had them for six months, they have yet to cover anything for my chronic diseases. They're terrible, and deserve to lose their rights as a corporation.

Aetna sent out advertisement that if requested information on Advantage plan, you would receive a $10 **** reward card. Called, asked rep how we would get the card, she said would be information when received. No such info about receiving the card. Called today and was placed on hold and transferred 8 times. False advertising. So glad didn't go with aetna. Even more after reading these reviews.

If you want proper treatment to get approved, DO NOT HAVE AETNA INSURANCE. My first horrible experience was for a spinal fusion. The doctor that first reviews the case ( medical Director ) lied about the imaging report and images, and of coarse rubber stamped denied. I appealed the decision, and Aetna sent it to a gynecologist and a nurse for a second opinion. Naturally they denied it as well. How can there be any real connection with a spinal fusion at L2 - 3 and a gynecologist or a nurse - more so with me being male. I hav... read more

If there were Zero stars, I would happily check that. As a provider of services, we rely on Customer Service representatives to provide the most accurate information. I have spent over ONE HOUR on the phone being placed back into the que by your CSR's Donna and Vie today. I requested to have clarification on a specific code, based on your own policy bulletin. We our new members to atena. My wife judy has had 5 heart attacks and been unable to speak. At this time I'm am her soul care provider. Since others failed to do as a thing to provide 1 concern just lip service. I told atnea repeatly this is her condition yet they refused to let me speak on her behalf.
