I'm speaking from the providers billing office point of view. Aetna has found a way to block billing companies or offices not directly in the same building/office as the provider of services. They now block our billing office from calling, emailing inquiries or updated any provider information. They need the provider or providers office manager to be the one to call for claim status, eligibility or data update. This has also cause delays in claim processing which is their main goal. I would give them zero stars if I could. They are representative of everything that is wrong with the medical and healthcare system in the U.S. Ridiculous and I mean ridiculous requirements and hoops to jump through in order to get approval for an essential health procedure. Representatives lie and go out of their way to get you off the phone and try to confuse you with misinformation. Currently on day 7 of waiting for them to approve my insulin. It's ridiculous that every year I go through this like I'm suddenly not going to need insulin anymore. I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was 4. It's not going away. I love how they send all sorts of information information on how to keep my diabetes under control. How about you start by giving me my ******* insulin.

Absolutely the worst supplemental insurance.they will go out of there way to not pay a claim.they definitely don't have any concern for the customer.they will delay doctor office visit claims by making me,with severe arthritis, have to travel to each doctor to get a bill with a diagnosis code for an office visit so they can deny the claim because of not getting it to them in time.there customer service people say thank you but already have a delay or deny tactic in place.my business with them is supplemental insurance so I s... read more

According to "Provider Directory" there are no dentists in or near **** ****** *******. Nobody answers the phone at Aetna Vital Savings. I have asked for a refund.

Aetna is attempting to recoup money from our doctor that is not due. They do not review documents sent. $17 is not due yet Aetna sends us to collection despite sending correct claims and medical notes. this is fraud and racketeering. They use a collection agency in *********for the $17 they are not owed to hide from ** *** ***

I work for a physician I have been calling for 3 days to find out if a patient has a case manager. I have been transferred 15 times on these 3 days. I have asked to speak to a manager they keep transferring me. I can't get a simple answer Aetna gets a ZERO

This insurance company is double billing patients. The copay at pharmacy is determined by insurance company. I paid $106. Copay for Rx and a month later Aetna billed me an additional $333. amount they said I owed. I called said I wasn't paying it and I told them I am reporting it
