Dr. Hughes is always on point with his considered opinion. He listens to his patients carefully, and is willing to explore all possible options. He remembers me everytime I walk into his office even if I haven't seen him in the last two years. He had my trust.
Hughes is the most unprofessional doctor I’ve had the displeasure of seeing. A total visit of over an hour was marked by ~3 minutes with the man, where he gave me a diagnosis that didnt encompass the symptoms which he didn’t even bother to ask about. He then suggested I make another appointment to get an mri (without explaining why) and see his assistant another day. Outrage barely begins to describe sheer amount of anger I felt as a result of seeing this man. I would rather cut my own back open and do my own spine surgery t... read more
Dr Hughes addresses my problem thoroughly and professionally. Office runs efficient
The wait was a bit long to see Dr, Hughes, but he explains all the details clearly and listens to what you have to say. He and his team are polite, helpful and attentive to your needs. HIghly recommended!
Long wait to see him but he explained everything thoroughly and clearly.
Excellent. Beyond excellent. I also recommend focusing on his surgical skills and not office wait times and such. I value a highly qualified busy focused surgeon who knows what he's doing. He has trained his medical staff well and the fact that many have been with him for years is a testament to great care. I had been to three others who wanted to cut me up and fill my back with rods and pins which he said were not needed. I'm pain free now after minimally invasive surgery.
I visited Dr Hughes initially to get a 2nd opinion on an extension revision surgery another prominent Dr. highly recommended. He quickly deduced that such a surgery would NOT solve my current problem and possibly add to it! He suggested a conservative approach of pain mgmt to see if the cervical problem went away. It DID! Yes, sometimes you have to wait a bit for him, but it’s worth it.
Had a good visit with Dr. Hughes to consult about my back
Dr. Huges showed expertise in explaining precisely the cause of my spinal pain using language that I understood. I appreciated that all non-surgical measures to address it were to be explored prior to any other discussion. This conservative approach is reassuring. I felt confident in his judgment going forward; that counts for so much!
