There is no reason your drive through should take 1 hour ...... Don't open if you cannot handle it .....
Totally disappointing. After waiting almost an hour and a half in the drive through line, then repeating my order 3 times to the inexperienced teenager at the window, my order was wrong and my fries were cold and hard. The milkshake was good, but that's all I can say. My suggestion, don't waste your time!

I was really surprised how terrible the service was and how completely unprepared they seemed. I've been to other Steak 'n Shake restaurants and they've always been great food and service. When I was there today, there was a long wait. Understandable that it would be busy, it was a weekend, but there were empty tables. The entire time we were there!!! Despite the long line at the door. The food tasted great but it took forever and there was naturally a long line to pay. Our meal took us an hour and a half!
It's 2:37 in the morning and I have been sitting in the drive through for 37 minutes and the line has barely moved. There are tons of employees inside and NO ONE is working on the drive through. I left and went to McDonalds instead. There is ZERO reason why it should take that long, absolutely ridiculous. Put some of those people to work on the drive through instead of them screwing around in the dining room. It's highly unlikely that they will ever get my business with service that slow. What a joke!!!!
I just left the store and was told I could not buy food inside for carryout. After walking out,I returned to speak with the manager.I explained that the long drive in lane was on the highway and there were no customers inside.After my first trip,I will not return,you may want to figure out how chick filet moves people.
Absolutely terrible! The service was terrible, the parking was terrible, and the place was filthy. I am so disappointed. I will not be returning!
The food is really good but the service is a little slow.
