this is one of the slowest steak and shakes i have been too. horrible service and just not a clean place. will never tip here. there needs to be something done about the customer service and the place in general by reading all these 1-2 star reviews it is really sad i love steak and shake! highly recommend the ofallon one you wont be disappointed then!
I came in here last night. I experienced the worst service I've ever had anywhere. They weren't even busy, took us 20 minutes to get our drinks. And when we FINALLY got our food she looks at our empty cups and ask "do you want refills?" Yes of course I want a refill, do you think I wanna eat my entire meal without a beverage?? Guess what? That's exactly what happened... me,my son and my wife finished our meals without our drinks. Took 20 minutes for the waitress to come back to take our order after we were seated. They messed up two of our orders, the food was hard and cold, the floors were full of old food,but the worst part was looking over and seeing a piece of chewed gum sitting on our table. This place definitely needs new management.
Decent food absolutely terrible service. The waitress was rude short and ill tempered towards my fiance and I because we did not know exactly what we wanted to eat after being seated for maybe two minutes while we were taking care of our four month old son. We will not be back.
I always wanted to go to steak n shake Every body got their own taste but this place is not up to par with me I cook better the area I was in was a little dirty mine n my friends both seats were wet

Unfortunately, this location will continue to lose business if the management doesn't improve. Twice I have been there, ordered shakes and then by the time I was ready to pay and leave, the shakes still had not arrived although others who arrived after me had received theirs. I won't be back and I know those other 3 adults with me won't be back with their families either.
Yummy as always. Always good fod and friendly service. Our favorite place to grab lunch when we are up that way.
