First of all, sticky floors. A dirty place. Kept having bad experiences so quit going about 4 years ago. Decided to try it again & that was a mistake. Both Belleville & Fairview locations are still the worst. The lady sitting behind us pretty much warned us. Didn't get our drinks for forever! We did eventually get them... after we got our food. Just waited for 20 minutes without a waiter so much as getting us drinks. Very dirty. Almost every available table had dirty dishes on it and the floor was so sticky I walked out of my flip flop because it stuck to the floor. Gross.
We waited for 10 minutes to be seates and 15 for someone to come take our order. I witnessed a man stand at the register for 20+ minutes waiting to pay his bill. The staff took their sweet time doing their rounds at tables and my boyfriend's fiod came out cold.... Will go to Collinsville next time. Very very poor service....
Couldn't give a 0. 3 in our party. It was 12:30pm. It took 40 minutes to receive food. One in our party ordered the chicken salad. We were told that the chicken was frozen. Never received refills on drinks or asked if everything was ok. Tables are not cleared and dirty. Plenty of other places to eat in town. This place used to be good LONG time ago. Need a complete overhaul or shut it down.
Everyone was on their phone. Took 3 times to get our meals right. Not to mention they were out of shakes.. Also a worker tried to yell at me when I asked why she was on her phone the whole time. But as soon as her manager came out she went right back to work. No wonder why THIS Steak n shake has a 1/5 stars. Will never come back.

The worse service I’ve ever experienced. Loooong wait. 15 mins for a water. Had to go and retrieve it. No guacamole. 1 server on a Friday after so she claimed. Yet a male server walking around. She’s texting on her phone. Frozen burgers? Did not know that. Don’t bother
How can the shake machine at Steak and Shake be down? Really? Only one shake machine?
The worst clown show around. Total disaster. No way in hell this could be ran any worse. The staff and managers are a joke. Hahahaha. Is all I can say. Learn how to run a restaurant.
