I sat at the bar and had a wonderful house Manhattan and a shrimp cocktail . The place was packed but I never felt rushed or hurried. No wonder the place is an INDY icon . Do yourself a favor next time you are downtown, stop in and at least have a cocktail, you will glad you did!
Great service and the food exceeded my expectations. Their signature shrimp cocktail is not for the faint of heart, the stalls are melt in your mouth delicious, and there atmosphere is intimate.

Wow is the first thing that comes to mind the service was phenomenal first class and the shrimp cocktail the batender told me “Your first bite the sauce will say Hello to you” well he did not lie HELLO.. that was literally the best shrimp cocktail I ever experienced and it’s a must try if your in Indianapolis you must and mean you must come this place and have the Elmo experience as I call it.
This place was awesome! It has ruined all other steak house experiences in my future. The service was excellent (by Glenn), the atmosphere beyond anywhere we've been, the food was one of a kind! The spiciness of the shrimp cocktail was unforgettable and enjoyable. Above all was how amazing the porterhouse steak really was! We are excited to make this trip again. Worth every mile!

First time here. We were a party of six, and between Evan and Phil, the evening was one of great food, great service and sooo much laughter. Fabulous experience.
Great Food, nice People, the place has a great repertoire, also very clean.
Our waiter (Kirk) has been there 29 years...The service and attention to detail is superb at St Elmo’s...I especially liked their call back the day before to firm up our arrival time. Steaks were brilliant and cooked to the right temperature. The shrimp cocktails are legendary. The expression on my guests faces after the first bite of shrimp; ‘Priceless.’
