Reserved 4 rooms for 3 nights... Got wrong rooms with no ocean front like we requested and paid for... Brought my friends to celebrate my birthday weekend and now it's ruined! Also there is no lobby it's under construction and we were never told when we booked!!!

For the same rate as ocean view I get a room that has no balcony access, ropes outside the nonaccesible balcony, that looks out on the city. I guess the only resort part is the name..my 3rd stay, never gets any better. If I was not here for my city I would not stay.
SUPER DISPLEASED. This hotel probably would be a fantastic getaway, however it is under construction in the most horrible way. (Which is not a big deal, however this was NOT ONCE made known to us before our booking). When we booked our trip the pictures of the entrance, lobby, and beach looked so extravagant! :) Upon arriving, we realized this was not the case. I stayed at the Diplomat this past weekend. Initially I was very excited to stay here, but from check in time, I had a very unpleasant stay. The building is under construction and for a peak check-in hour, the place was ridiculously understaffed. The staff overall was incompetent for the type of "5 star setting" that is expected. I was not properly guided around the premises, I found it very difficult to find my room and get around the different amenities. I am currently staying here and want to provide the management an opportunity to right the wrong. I see a bunch of " we are truly sorry ; that's not a typical experience " statements, so put your words to action and I'll be glad to change my review. The hotel and the facilities are good, a few rude staff, towel shortages in the pools and construction notwithstanding. Second time I am staying @ Diplomatic Resort ... I don't have any bad thing to say. From the room to the staffs. Everything is Great! Enjoying my stay I will be here until August 11
Very late check in of 4 pm and pre assign you a room so even though other rooms may be open you are unable to check in. Should have done Marriot all of my colleagues who did were able to check in at noon lesson learned!!
