Poor customer service. Rented unit 15B at Beach Colony West which is a gorgeous condo with all the amenities we wanted, including a fantastic gulf view. Upon arrival realized there was a problem with the air conditioning- unit would not cool down. Guest services recommendation was to keep blinds and drapes pulled shut. (there goes the view). Horrible customer service. If you find a phone number that will actually speak to you, guard it with your life. Otherwise the only communication they will make with you is through text. I checked in on Saturday in Navarre and called them on Sunday about a tv not working. They promised to come on Monday and Wednesday. No show either day. Then said the soonest they could come was on Friday afternoon. We check out Saturday. People in our same complex paid less for their rental and had beach service included. We did not.

Seawind #503 needs a new sofa bed.The frame was completely away from the couch.Ice maker was broken so had to buy ice the first day.Had repair men come in during our stay.Unit should have better maintained.When u cannot check in til 4pm and have to be out by 10am You should not have to run a maintenance check the first day or any day you pay for.

TERRIBLE!!!!! We made down payment in Feb. Our son enlisted in the Air Force and we have his graduation near that time which is in San Antonio and then tech school graduation in San Angelo. That is 3 huge trips in 4 months. They refused to retuen my deposit as they stated it is non refundable. I gave them plenty of notice to rent it out. This is an extenuating circumstance. My son enlisting in the Air Force wasn't on my agenda! One would think when you enlist for your country, they could try to help a family out ... read more

Hands down the worse rental experience we have ever had and we rent properties often. When we arrived at the lockbox on Sat evening they did not have an envelop for us. I found someone in the parking lot who works there and was able to find us a key. We never received a welcome packet or wristbands which were necessary for the pool. We got to the condo and there was no wifi. When I spoke with someone on Sun they said there was nothing they could do about it until Tues evening. They cancelled my rental and offered a "comparable" option, which it really wasn't. But that's not what upset me -- we were renting two condos, travelling with friends. We needed to stay together. I asked if friends can be moved - NO. I asked if friends can be refunded - also NO. Not staying in the same condo isn't an option when travelling with another family. So I re-booked with another company for the same resort and I will never rent from Southern because they could have easily helped me out but didn't. Shady, shady.

DO NOT RENT FROM SOUTHERN VACATION RENTALS!!!! Scam artists. They will take your money and then either cancel your rental 7-10 days before you check in, or offer you an alternate option which is 30 miles away and not the same quality. Zero customer service. It’s a bait and switch operation.

Absolutely absurd! Rented a condo at EMERALD ISLE to spend time with family over Christmas. I don’t typically complain, if I do it’s for good reason all I want is a resolve which this is where the problem lies the company refuses to move us to another unit or cancel and refund our reservation so we can go else where. It looks nothing like the photos online. We are overlooking a dumpster, there’s a dead roach in the dining room, windows are extremely dirty as well as bath tub and toilet. they rented me a condo with pet poop stains on the rugs,, and no phone in the condo. the couch went almost to the floor when I sat on it. no cushion in it at all.. substandard all the way. don't rent from them. you'll be so disappointed , especially if you rent waters edge condo 301. they won't work with you. told me they can't do anything because I don't like the furniture! really! there are so many things besides the furniture. ofcourse I knew the view was not to die for, but wanted to spend a month in my f... read more
