Rented 112 Seascape Drive Ariel Dunes Penthouse #2402. Southern Vacation Rentals is by far the worst rental agency we have ever dealt with! Drove all day and showed up to a fifthly condo! Called Southern Vacation Rentals and were told it was too late in the day to get someone out to re-clean. We had to clean dirty floors, showers, toilets, appliances, and furniture. "To be the most caring company along the Gulf Coast." For starters, you can try to live by your company's vision and not just have it listed on the website. Being "cared for" is a far cry from how I was left feeling. Shame on this company and all involved. There is a reason you do not allow public reviews on your website and only include the "positive" ones. Absolutely terrible management company. We booked our vacation on 05/16 for arrival on 06/14. Paid our reservation in full. On 05/20, I received a call stating that my rental was undergoing construction & would not be completed prior to our stay. I understand these things happen, so I was okay with choosing one of the other properties they sent to me. I booked a rental in may 2022 for thanksgiving holidays. I paid in full. Three weeks before I was set to arrive—they sent me an email canceling my reservation. Beware because I see lots of reviews now about the same behavior. Never again!

Beware! Will never use Southern vacation rentals / Southern resorts again! These are some but not all issues we faced on our vacation. Live bugs (spiders and roaches) in every room including falling from walls onto beds Dust and spider webs under and behind every piece of furniture Mold on indoor ac vents and growing in buffet drawer Thick dust on top of all furniture Lock codes to get in the unit locked us out multiple times leaving us outside in dark for long periods of time Furniture corroded with sand, crumbs, pet hair... read more

Do not book with this company. We are 11 days from leaving for Destin and just notified that the condo we booked is no longer available. The only option they gave us was to go to Alabama to another property. Stay Clear of these crooks.

Looks like everyone else on this site has had issues with Southern Vacation Rentals - just like us. They cancelled us, via e-mail at midnight on a Saturday, and didn't lift a finger to help us find a replacement Condo. We had two families booking a Condo in Navarre. They cancelled on us with less that 6 weeks before we were to be there. They just said "sorry" and offered us low end rentals they had in their inventory. Nothing like the Condo we originally rented. If I could give a negative score I would. Reserved a home on March 6th...signed rental agreement made down payment, etc. Notified via email on April 12th that the rate had changed...would have to pay an additional $1500 over the agreed price if wanted to keep the reservation. What good is a reservation if the price can be changed or the dates can be cancelled on a whim by the rental company.
