RecommendedThe key card system is definitely better than using just cash or tokens. There's so many options to choose from, guaranteed there's at least one option that will fit your needs. I once made a mistake when trying to put money on my card, and accidentally bought a new one from the kiosk. Septa had no problem cancelling the card I didn't need and transferred the money I had on there to the card I was already using. It's a great security feature also in case you lose your card.

I followed written instructions online and in the letter you send that cash will not be accepted on the train and to load money on the card. So, I loaded money on the card. I will also add that I did try to purchase train tickets at the sales office and was instructed by TWO different workers that I need to upload money on the card. TansportationIS NOT reliable! If you are going to raise the prices, make sure your service is up to par. Septa makes people late to work or where ever else they need to be.
I've been commuting for the past hour now. I left suburban station and just got past 30th street station. apparently the delay was caused by an engineer not showing up to drive one of the trains and it caused immediate congestion because they couldn't handle it. One employee can shut down their entire regional rail line. Septa needs fierce competition and fast.
That the drivers actually follow the rules or policies and procedures. I.G. csr #9 I believe to be the #6 button rule to request fare but a customer can get on free as a courtesy. Instead they act as if it is coming out of their check and will cursed you out or worse try to kick you off or stop the bus. STOP DRIVING PAST PEOPLE BECAUSE YOUR LATE THIS IS A BUS SERVICE, LIKE WTF??!!!!
