Me and my wife stayed at the Showboat this weekend and had a awesome � time had an Amazing suite in the 23 floor. Thanks � to the whole stuff and my good friend Tim GM of this property. I Definitely recommend this hotel..
We stayed for 1 night and everything was just as expected. Easy check-in & check-out. We were even able to get into our room at noon instead of 4:00. Loved how close we were to the not overly crowded beach!! Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent staff that takes care of you once you pull up. Our bellman was Andrew when we arrived and he was spot on. Front desk during check in could of used some help yesterday afternoon. Very clean rooms and loved the restaurants along the way. Elevators are extremely slow however very clean. It's a shame there is no gaming in this hotel for the lobby floor is set up perfectly to host Holdem and Stud games only to which would make this hotel unique and the talk of Atlantic City. Terrible parking. The bike race was there and I thought I was going to kill someone or there would be some road rage! It was VERY unorganized. The race was over at 1:30. My husband got done around 12:30. They wanted to charge us a $50 early check in early since they were being nice and letting us check in at 2:00 (we waited).....then wanted to makes us wait until 4:00 because they were not sure if our room was ready. They place is VERY dated and smelled of smoke. I do not plan on ever staying there again!
Presently at the Showboat and not amused. The closest elevator does not work and we are on the 16th floor. We are missing a chair which is inconvenient if we want to sit together with take out. I called the front desk several times and it was busy, I suspect they took the phone off the hook. There was only one person working at check in time. The dresser with the TV on it is all beat up. Absolutely awful disappointment. Room was filthy, reeked of cigarette smoke, cigarette burns in the carpet. The main area was like a ghost town, most of the restaurants were closed and the parking is a nightmare. We basically found one or two working elevators. As in one only seemed to go in one direction. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
Rude associates
I have stayed here in the past when it was a casino and had House of Blues restaurant. Had I known when I booked those things are no longer there I wouldn’t have booked. It is very sad to see the empty spaces here. The hotel is in need of some rehab and the restaurants still open need some updating as well. The good thing is that it is right next to Hard Rock where we were seeing a concert. I will not be staying here again. Especially when paying close to $400 for a nights stay. Not worth it.
