I went to Shampoo Avenue B several weeks ago for the first haircut that I've gotten in NYC. Normally, I put them off until I visit home in CA because I have been convinced that no one could come close to doing as good of a job as my hairdresser there. I have been going to Shampoo Avenue B for the past year. My hairdresser is Andrea, and she is the bomb! I'm completely confident that she will make my hair look amazing, no matter what shape it's in. Andrea has made every crazy haircut idea I've had look great, and afterwards I always get a ton of compliments regarding my hair. Also, their trims are only $20! Amazing.
After moving from Nashville to NYC in June, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a top-notch, affordable hair salon. I was wrong! I love Shampoo Avenue B and highly recommend giving it a try. I saw Erik, a senior stylist, and he did a great job trimming and blowing out my hair. Will definitely be returning.
I've been going to Shampoo Avenue B for a little over a year now, where Sylyse has cut my hair every time. It's been a great experience thus far. I've been all over this city getting haircuts, but my favorite place is Shampoo Avenue B. Everyone there is always attentive and courteous while I wait. They'll offer me a drink and make sure I feel comfortable, which is hard to find in some spots. The stylist I keep returning to is Aut - she's given me the most adorable bobs and makes the whole experience super enjoyable. I always feel like a million bucks when I leave that place. Definitely recommend!
I found this place on a whim through a gilt city coupon and glad I did. After 5 years searching for a place that understood my long fine, but strangely thick hair - I found Erik. He is a layering whiz kid I swear.
I've been having my hair done at Shampoo Avenue B for about 2 years now and I am super happy with the services. My stylist and colorist, Jessica, is incredible at what she does and I always leave with my hair looking amazing! Can't wait to see the new space.
