Received yet another great cut and color from Jessica! She really knows her stuff and can offer great advise if you're on the fence about styles (as I usually am), yet she also listens to your needs and takes them into account, as well. Nothing worse than a hair stylist who does what he/she wants rather than what you want! Everyone is really friendly and Emily did a great job! If you are looking for someone that is great with long hair, she is really good. They also have rewards points, etc so you can eventually use them towards a service.
I've gotten my hair cut at Shampoo a few times, and have been extremely satisfied each visit. The salon is really nice, very clean, and the employees are very friendly and personable. Aut cuts my hair and I have no intention of going to another stylist. She does a consistently great job, remembers what your preferences are, and is always patient to listen to your requests. I would highly recommend this salon!
I absolutely love Shampoo Avenue B. They are welcoming and attentive and I'm so glad I found this gem. My stylist, Charlie, is absolutely incredible and makes me feel (and look) beautiful every time I leave. Everyone should definitely go here!
I have held off writing a review for Shampoo Avenue B for the longest time for selfish reasons... I don't want them to get too crazy popular that I'll never be able to get an appointment again. This is my first long term, monogamous relationship with a hair salon. Carlos consistently gives me great cuts, honest opinions and always helps me figure out the best cut and style for my hair. I always leave feeling like a million bucks. Shampoo Avenue B is a great find.
I've gone to Shampoo Avenue B many times for haircuts and have had many different stylists - and shockingly I haven't had a single negative experience! All of the stylists are skilled, knowledgable and professional and can handle basic trims and tricky styles with ease. I can't say that about any of the other salons I've tried in the city. This is my go-to spot and I recommend it to everyone!

I've been going to Aut at Shampoo Avenue B for several years now, and she's hands down one of the best stylists I've ever had. She does a great job of translating inspiration pictures into reality, and making them work with your hair type and face shape. I have curly hair, and her cuts always look great both straight or curly. I can't say enough good things about this salon!
Shampoo Avenue B is the hair salon I settled upon after trying multiple other salons all over NYC. I've used several stylists here and have been impressed by all of them - I've also had very long hair and then very short hair cut here and always found my stylist completely able to work with what I have! It is great that they will be moving into a larger space- excited to continue to have them be my go-to NYC salon.
