It's a beautiful salon with a great mod vibe. Had a picture of what type of haircut I wanted, basically a layered modern bob that looked somewhat edgy. Got exactly what I wanted. What a great feeling! Months later, I still get compliments on my hair. Will definitely go back.
Shampoo Avenue B is my favorite hair salon for cut, color and Brazilian blowouts. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the salon is stylish and chic!
I originally went to Shampoo Ave B because it's right next to my apartment and they had a deal on Yelp. You can only use the Yelp deal once, but I've gone back because I really like the stylists, I've been to a few of them and they have always been friendly and willing to listen to what I want - I went to an Aveda Salon and the stylist refused to give me bangs - so I went to Shampoo Ave B to get a bang trim. I have been going to Shampoo Avenue B for 3 years and have always been pleased with my haircuts. My stylist Eric is very meticulous and always does a great job.

I had a great experience at Shampoo Avenue B. The staff was friendly and attentive, and my appointments were on schedule when I arrived which is important to me. My stylist gave me a terrific cut and highlights that were done to perfection. After bouncing from salon to salon, I have finally found a neighborhood gem and will be back.
Shampoo Avenue B is the only place I trust for my hair needs. Initially, I would get my hair colored by any stylist who was available because they are that good. Then, I happened upon Sylyse one time and I was hooked. He gave me the perfect lightness on the bottom of my ombré, while still maintaining the overall flow of color. I have loved Shampoo Avenue B since I got my first haircut there 2 years ago, and I haven't gotten my hair cut anywhere else! Erik was the best - my hair looked great and grew out well. I strongly recommend this salon - they definitely know what they're doing. (Plus, they give you free beer!)
I've gone here twice - the first time was on a Gilt City deal: cut & single process. To be honest the cut was nothing special and my hair came out looking the same color. Everybody raves about this place though so I was willing to give it another shot - especially since they're open so late and are 2 min away from my apt.
