Shampoo Avenue B had been my hair home for years. But...the last time I went there, Carlos not only ignored my request (I even showed him a photo of the cut and color HE gave me and asked him to replicate it), but fried my hair so badly that I needed to go to another salon to try to reverse the damage. I have short hair, and i always leave with an amazing cut. It's so hard to find someone that is willing to really listen, especially when it comes to short hair, but Jen does listen and works with me, and that is why i have been going there for the last four years.

Carlos and the entire team were so friendly and professional. My haircut was precise and has grown out beautifully. Carlos listened to me and cut my hair exactly as I asked. And the products smell amazing....
THE most unprofessional salon I have ever been to (and I've lived in the city for 35 years). I came in with healthy, shiny hair and left with a head of burnt straw. Not to mention -- they refused to fix it even though I offered to pay (even) more. Oh, and if you think the amazing reviews are "real," you have another thing coming. They offer a discount if you post something wonderful. Don't be fooled!
I got the best haircut I've had in a long time from Sylyse. He gave me great advice on better hair maintenance to keep my hair hydrated and avoid split ends. My hair is healthier 6 months later.
