This Company is rude and very unhelpful. My 90 year old father had their insurance on his car and when he was put into a nursing home we had to sell the car. We notified them by mail that he was dropping their insurance (in March). We got a bill requesting more money. I called them after 45 minutes trying to get a real person she was rude and wouldn't tell me anything helpful. Her response was to have him call. Well he doesn't have a phone in the nursing home (dementia ward). NOW they are demanding payment and have sent him ... read more

I've been insured with Farmers insurance on my property and cars for 20+ years in California. On March 2021, I moved to Florida and called Farmers to add my new car to the policy. Farmers agent sent the business to Bristol west. They quoted for $159/month. I paid for it monthly and on the 04/16/2021, I called to cancel the policy. Told me I was insured for delivering mail (after I told them what I do and the vehicle I have) and after three years of paying them for coverage I had a claim that they would not approve. Tried to cancel and they told me to email them with no email online or on the contact info. Thanks Farmers.

I have unfortunately been with another insurance company for the last 9 years. There have been 2 incidents where a vehicle hit me and the other driver was at fault. Both times my insurance handled it horribly and unfairly. Luckily this time the other driver was insured by farmers. Believe me when I tell you the difference in claim handling between farmers and my insurance company is massive. Farmers has been compassionate, fair, and responsive. Worst insurance ever no only can you not reach people to resolve issues they want to do everything by email.. also their adjusters like to badger, lie, and threaten people. I've never had a worse experience with insurance as I have had with them. They are rude and allow their employees to threaten people with things that are not legal. FRAUD. They will take your thousands of dollars and run with it after canceling your insurance without notice. I had a DUI and I was required to carry a type of insurance that requires you to pay the 6 six month premium up front. I paid them for the full contracted amount for the 6 months and find out a week later that my insurance was cancelled (conveniently right after they got my thousands out of me). They were decent in the beggining. However I changed my insurance and went to cancel Bristol West. I cancelled on the 21st and my payment date is the 23rd. Person on phone said I?d be getting a check 10 business days later because they will already take the money out of my account due to auto payments. How is this reasonable? They can?t stop a transaction 2 days before it happens because they claim they need 3 business days. Why is it that when I cancel my account that they still have access to my checking? While filing a claim with Foremost Insurance, I received the rudest, least open minded claims person I have ever encountered. And the supervisor was no better. While trying to describe the problem, the claim agent kept talking over me; would tell me that wasn't his experience with the same problem, and asking me questions I was unable to answer with any expertise whatsoever. The most creepy insurance that ever existed, should place a zero star:). It was provided through Goosehead Ins. My mother of 73;signed up for that company because she rarely use her vehicle and she is living on a fixed income.
