My house has a raised foundation n was flooded due to a pipe burst. I had severe water damage. They used two excuses not to pay for my damages. They said you didn't notice the damage fast enough. We couldn't for about a week until we noticed the high water bill. I had foremost for my motorcycle and unfortunately an uninsured unlicensed driver hit me. After foremost totalled my motorcycle, I purchased and switched my policy over to the new motorcycle. In order to stop payments for the old bike, foremost canceled my autopay. They did not tell me or ask me to set it back up when I added the new motorcycle. After having Farmers' home insurance for 8 years, I filed a claim for the first time because the roof was damaged by a hail storm recently. The adjuster came and looked at a different unit saying he couldn't go up to my roof because it is too high ( my unit is a three-floor row home) and said because the other unit didn't show hail damage my unit must be ok and denied the claim. We have had Farmers car & home insurance for a long time. Only had one claim on our car until now. With all the rain winds and hail we had a big leak start in our dinning room. Do not set up payroll deductions! I was with Metlife through Mercer for multiple years with no problems. As soon as Metlife became Farmers is when the problem started. They took more than $600 out of my payroll deduction without notifying me. When I finally reached an agent, they were slow in giving me answers. Now two weeks later, I get a last minute update that they will be issuing me a refund for the deduction but they will be taking out over $700 this check! My 18 year old grandson obtained insurance through Bristol West insurance abs the agent name is a Yolanda and her boss name is Roger. These two took coherced him into advising his father as the primary so he can have a lower insurance. They did not verify any Id before listing the father as the primary on the policy. The policy was obtained fraudulently. My grandson has had Two accidents within 60 days? Purchased home insurance from this company effective 8/1/2021. Bid was competitive with all other insurance companies & amount was within our budget. Then less than a month I get an additional billing of $172.61. They increased the reconstruction cost from $235k to $277k. WTF I am retired on a fixed income, so $172 is not a lot of money, but more than I wanted to pay for home insurance. This results in a 20% increase in a year for home insurance. I do not recommend Farmer's for renters nor home owners. I have had them for 5 years. I pay an average of 1600 a year for their very pathetic coverage. My deductible is now 2200 yet I have not once had a claim that they would cover. My roof is leaking in about 4 different areas. They sent out an adjuster that came all the way from Houston, TX to me in El Paso, TX. He got up on the roof and came down only to tell me that he didn't see any hail damage, but assumed that the water getting into my house comes from rain and wind. ... read more
