They are extremely disreputable and try to take advantage of people that cancel with ridiculous prorated amounts based on made up figures. They also tack on service charges with no authorization and never return calls to try and justify these made up charges. Worst insurance company I've ever dealt with

Records reflect this policy was canceled at ********'s request effective 11/27/21, and there is an outstanding balance of $19.09 for coverage provided until this date. I got trade in my car and try to contact farmers insurance, an agent take my call and get a new quote which so high and we let her know if we push through this quote. I get another insurance that suit my budget and call them back which took me around an hour for call wait and was able to talk to ******** service to cancel my auto policy. my email was hacked by someone- i told them about it- tried to change myself but couldn't -there was only 2 options couldnt change my primary email, had to call,3-6 times ,chat with the automated system, i finally changed the 2nd email on bottom of webpage but it still wasn't the primary email address..... i contacted at least like 5,to7to,9 people ,,,i decided to get rid of my policy! because it's not that hard to change a simple email address* check this out my faamily has been wtih farmers for like 40-50 years! dude we ha... read more

They treat the ******** horrible harass you for trying to make a partial payment every month. It's the absolute worse place to carry a mortgage loan with

Does people wrong. Agent set me up applied a discount and I signed for a certain amount monthly. Discovered after contacting for a bill question..amount raised $30.. that the agent gave a discount when he shouldnt have..I was never at notified of this change. Found a better insurance company.

HORRIBLE !!! KEEP GETTING FAKE BILLS FROM BRISTOL WEST SENT TO CREDITOR THEN WHEN I CALL THEY HAVE NO IDEA OF THE BILL " DONT WORRY DISREGARDING THAT" SO I GET A BILL for $76.00 for a cancel insurance policy in FLORIDA WHICH IF THAT WERE TRUE I WOULD HAVE A SUSPENED LICESNSE BUT I DONT SO I OWE THEM MONEY EVEN THOUGH SAME POLICY FOR 4 YEARS ON AUTOMATIC PAY AND I HAVE GOTTEN 3 BILLS NOW . I was with MetLife for home and auto. Recently transitioned to Farmers. When I transitioned I needed to update a vehicle (update, not add). Upon contacting them, my rate doubled - DOUBLED. I tried to work with agent, but there was no "additional discounts." I shopped around and found a much better deal with better coverage for less than I was paying even prior with MetLife. It's a nightmare trying to get a new windshield- over a week excuses-"computer down, I didn't speak with you, not my department" This is my first time with this company- not happy so far.

Bristol insurance is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with very rude people non responsive, false advertisement,this place is a big scam will never do business with them again charged me for canceling I canceled three months before my next payment was due because my vehicle was no longer running next thing I know Im receiveing mail from a creditor saying I owe them money for cancelling no where in there policy does it say that.they charged me for what my next payment would be never see anything like this been doin... read more
