I was a Met Life ******** and my policy was sold to Farmers. We moved and I needed a policy on my new home could not reach anyone in Farmers so I went with Allstate. I have tried to cancel my policies now for 4 months. I have spent over 12 hrs on the phone and numerous emails. Each time hearing the same story that they are sorry and that it has been taken care of. If your thinking about getting farmers for insurance go somewhere else. I went with them even though they were $*** more then my last insurance thinking that once they see I am not a hazard it will go down. I had two cars. The first 6 months went by my bill went up $** I paid. The next 6 months and it goes up $*** no claims no tickets no accidents. "Corrina" called me, apparently from the Juan ******** **** Farmer's Insurance agency, to get my property information for an HO3 quote. My house is not located anywhere near the Riverside office of *** and I did not request a quote from that agency specifically. I'm going on my second year with Bristol West and within the last two years they have messed up my payments causing my policy to cancel several times. Their app will relay one thing, while their website will say another. As of this year, January 2022 I had my app tell me I had no payment, that it was processed, and my next payment would be in February when I resigned for another 6 months. I was with MetLife for over 15 years with absolutely no issues ... then ... I do not have one complimentary thing to say about Farmers! If I could rate them zero stars, I would! Not only are their wait times beyond ridiculous, when you finally get to talk to someone, they have no idea what's going on. I wanted to change my automatic payment method from my checking account to my credit card (Rewards) so I got online and made a credit card payment in the hopes that the system would then offer me that as a future option. This company does not care about clients and has no customer service. For four months, I had to call every month to dispute a withdrawal they took out of my account. I then had to go track my ex-husband down to collect the money for his insurance that Farmers was taking out of my account because it would take them weeks to refund me my money. This company cancelled my homeowners policy on my BRAND NEW HOME after one year without ANY prior notification by email, mail or phone call. I was notified AFTER they cancelled it and went one week without any insurance because I wasn't notified. I have no outstanding claims and am in good standing. This is unacceptable and wonder how this is even legal! I tried contacting them and sat on hold for 3 hours with no luck. If I could give them a 0 I would. They have the worst ******** experience from an insurance I have encountered. They are never wanting to actually help and they put you on hold for long periods. I'm trying to get a refund from a policy I cancelled over 2 weeks ago and what a hassle it has been. They were significantly over charging me for premiums so I cancelled my policy and now to receive a refund they want to mail me a check but they can withdraw from a checking for a premium? No reason why they can't deposit into a check... read more

Date: 1/18/22 - 2/7/2022 Due to an accounting error, Farmer's insurance double billed me for the full amount of my insurance a week after I made an initial payment. The full payment value was just under $1,000. I notice the error and initiated a phone call to their ******** service department. Initially they claimed they sent me a check in the mail and that it would arrive in the next two weeks.
