Farmers absorbed MetLife's home and auto business, and for us it's been a disaster. Without prior notification they raised our Auto and Condo walls-in policy nearly 50% - then didn't send the renewal package so we wouldn't see the rate change. The Condo policy comes out of escrow and the Auto policy was set up for autopay. It came to our attention because the autopayments stopped withdrawing. Avoid Farmers and agent Robert ******** I provided info to receive a quote and was repeatedly told I'd need to authorize creation of the policy. I received nothing more than an email with a pdf clearly stating it's a quote. Nothing else from the company or agent. I only found out the policy was created after my mortgage company sent an email that the home insurance premium had been paid at the request of Farmers Insurance. Derek McCoy was incredibly unprofessional, both with timely updates, replies were not professional, and made untrue statements regarding his coverage of a contractor that then caused a flood in our basement. I hope that these reviews are taken into consideration as I have never seen such poor reviews, but I am not surprised.
Farmers Insurance really is not doing their best at all. I'm still actively dealing with their mistakes and issues. Car still isn't fixed from an accident where I was hit in November, 2022 and it's now January 2023 with my repairs still a month out. Basically was hit by one of farmers insured drivers, he stopped, was very nice and gave me his insurance right away and admitted fault on the scene to the officer. After being notified of a rates increase with my auto and home insurance I called to see if there was any way to reduce my rate and the answer was no. I then changed insurance companies receiving more coverage and saved 33%. My problems arose when I tried to cancel my policy. 4 times I tried and they continued to deduct money from my account. I wish I could give no stars. I called farmers about a bill I received saying there has been a change to my policy and now I have to make a one time payment. How do you just change a policy without notifying the ********. I called and spoke to several people and was told most of NY is moving to one time payments. I asked to be provided with written documentation and they sent me something about my policy. Then I was told I have to go on dept. of insurance to find the information. Bristol West failed to notify me when the card on my autopay didn't go through 3 months ago. They have since cancelled my policy and I have been unknowingly driving illegally and in void of my financing agreement for months without coverage. They failed to notify my agent, my financing company or the state I live in, which are all parties that could have made me aware there were any issues so that I may address them immediately. Incompetent representatives who give false and invalid information that end up costing you money. I will never get another policy with this company and I should've left when they took over the metlife policy I had. I was billed for a canceled policy when I was told at the time I didn't owe anything. And now they can't do anything.

I wish I will check all this before but now it's been happen to me.very bad ******** service-misleading information.I have to say that they drive me crazy! Even when I have autopay they never let me alone trying to increase the monthly payment.
